A lot of change is happening in Disney World.
A new attraction is set to open soon in EPCOT. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom is under construction. New DVC villas are being built at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Restaurants are changing in Disney World, too, and, well, some of those most recent changes include price increases.
We keep an eye on ALL food-related news in Disney World.
We love to keep an eye out for new snacks so we can share our thoughts on all the best new treats. We also check out EVERYTHING at EPCOT’s festivals to make sure we can recommend ONLY the best items. We also keep an eye on menu updates at Disney World, and sometimes, we spot price increases. Well, we’ve got some price increases to tell you about for TWO restaurants at a popular EPCOT World Showcase Pavilion.
You better adjust those Disney souvenir budgets — things could be getting MORE expensive soon! 😫
There are a few different reasons why your 2024 Disney World trip could be much more expensive than you might have previously thought. Sneaky ticket price increases, continued price increases at Disney World’s restaurants, and even the return of the Disney Dining Plan could totally mess up the budget you might have had planned in your head. And on top of all of that, Disney merchandise could be more EXPENSIVE in 2024 too — here’s why.
When it comes to food (and everything else), something is ALWAYS changing in Disney World.
We’re always seeing favorite foods go away. But we’re also seeing new foods turning up on menus. We also get some great seasonal snacks. What we’re trying to say is that menu changes are going to happen. Sometimes those changes mean price increases, though, and one EPCOT restaurant saw plenty of that this week.
Well, there is certainly a LOT going on with The Walt Disney Company.
And we’re not even talking about the big 100th Anniversary Celebration that’s still going on (and coming to EPCOT soon). Disney just recently held its third quarter 2023 earnings call, and we learned about Disney’s current financial status for both Disney Parks and streaming, but we also got some big announcements.
If you’ve ever planned a Disney World vacation, then you know that it can be EXPENSIVE.
There are a lot of costs associated with your trip, from food to lodging to souvenirs and much more. And we know that for some people, the parks are already on the verge of being “too expensive.” So that’s why we’re warning you today — your 2024 Disney World trip could cost you THOUSANDS more.
We’ve spent an ABSURD amount of money on souvenirs in Disney World.
Like, if we went back just over the last decade and tallied it all up with the members of our team, we wouldn’t be surprised if we could buy a CAR with that amount of money. And some of that is because we’re suckers for a cool merchandise collection, but some of it is because Disney souvenirs are just so darn expensive! Just when we think they can’t get any pricier, Disney goes and raises prices again (we’ve seen it happen a lot!). So today, we’re sharing the 6 souvenirs you should buy before Disney World raises the price…AGAIN.
Price increases seem to be the name of the game at Disney World, but some DEVASTATING ones have hit the parks in 2023.
Reports previously indicated that current Disney CEO Bob Iger was “alarmed by increases in prices at Disney theme parks,” which former CEO Bob Chapek felt would “boost revenue and limit overcrowding.” Though that may be the case, and Iger has brought back some FREE perks to Disney World — like free overnight parking for guests at Disney World hotels — that doesn’t mean all price increases have stopped…
Changes are ALWAYS happening in Disney World.
We see rides close. We see new rides open. We see new snacks appear at dining spots. We also see a LOT of menu changes every single week, so let’s take a look at those changes for this past week. Warning: there are a LOT of price increases ahead!
