Honestly, there’s nothing quite like riding high above the crowds as you head back and forth to the parks from your Disney World resort hotel. If your visit happens to fall in January, well, there’s this complication you’re definitely going to want to know about and plan for!
When you stay at a Disney World hotel, there are quite a few RULES in place that you might not realize!

From “quiet hours” to safety procedures (like no running on the pool deck!) there are quite a few rules that guests have to follow. But on the other hand, there are also hotel rules that Disney has to follow. They have specific cancelation policies, safety regulations, and more. But there’s one hotel rule that we wish Disney would ACTUALLY enforce.
Okay, hear us out: Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort is SO underrated. It’s one of the cheapest hotels on Disney World property, and the theming is generally ON POINT.

Sure, it’s not like you’re staying at the Grand Floridian, but it’s comfortable enough if if you plan to mostly just sleep in your room and spend most of your time in the parks. Plus you get transportation (although it is JUST buses) to the Disney Parks, Early Theme Park Entry, and you get to stay within the “Disney bubble.” However, as a value resort, we still think there are some things at All-Star Movies that just haven’t aged well.

You’ve probably budgeted for that hotel and have an idea of what kind of perks that hotel offers (like certain transportation options, whether that be buses, Monorail, or Skyliner). You might even be aware of the 2025 perk where you can get a FREE ticket to Disney World’s water parks on your arrival date. We’re sure you know about Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours. But we’re about to tell you about some free Disney World hotel perks and upgrades you might not know about.
Did you know there’s a billion-dollar resort near Disney World?

It’s called Evermore Orlando Resort, and y’all, this resort has EVERYTHING. You’ve got traditional hotel rooms. You’ve got whole houses. You’ve got eight acres with a crystal-clear lagoon, tons of activities, golf, and so much more. When we say that Evermore is impressive, we mean IT IS IMPRESSIVE. It’s almost a destination in and of itself. However, it’s just 15 minutes from Disney World, meaning it could be a great option for your next Disney World trip. Disney World is referred to as the “most magical place on earth” and for better or for worse, lots and lots of people have caught onto this idea.
EPCOT
That means that a trip to Disney World also means dealing with A LOT of crowds and a lot of chaos. As an introvert that can seem less than appealing. However, I think all the positives far outweigh the negatives, and introverts can have an amazing time at Disney World (especially if you know the best places to hide!).
Are we Disney World pros? Yes, we are! Do we still make mistakes in Disney World? Well, to quote The Good Place, “Pobody’s Nerfect.”

For example, we still trip over the trolley tracks in Magic Kingdom although we’ve walked down Main Street, U.S.A. MILLIONS of times. We also still occasionally forget to bring our rain gear to the park, even on days when we KNOW it’s going to rain. Yes, we even occasionally still wear shoes that we think could be a bad idea (and they usually are) and have achy feet at the end of the day. In other words, we’re human. So we have a story to share with you about us getting lost at a Disney hotel.

I mean, when you’re on the Skyliner you’re soaring high above the crowds, waving “bye bye” bus lines, and traveling “oh so conveniently” between many of the Disney World Resort hotels and the parks. We’re big fans of the Skyliner experience (if you couldn’t tell). If you’re looking forward to hopping aboard on your next trip to Disney World, we’ve gotta go over the dates you’ll want to avoid!
When it comes to choosing a hotel for your Disney World trip, you have a lot of things to consider.
Skyliner
First, there’s a budget to think about. Will you be staying in a value, moderate, or deluxe resort? If you’re on a tight budget, you might be leaning more towards a value resort, which means you can stay at one of the three All-Star Resorts or Disney’s Pop Century Resort or Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. The latter two can be more expensive, though, because they have something the All-Star Resorts don’t: direct access to the Skyliner. But is it worth spending more money on those hotels just for the Skyliner?

D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event just wrapped up, and we got a LOT of news over the weekend. Disney shared details about upcoming movies, major theme park projects, and plans for the future of Disney Cruise Line. We also got to see 14 new Disney Legends inducted!
