Last year, Disney dropped a metaphorical bombshell on the theme park community when they announced that a Monsters, Inc. land – – including the long-awaited door coaster – – was coming to Hollywood Studios. After months of speculation, they confirmed what many Disney adults had feared: This new land would be replacing the former Muppet Courtyard area now known as Grand Avenue, including the legendary Muppet*Vision 3D.
The Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster is about to change forever, as longtime headliners Aerosmith are about to cede the attraction to the Muppets. However before the Bad Boys of Boston turn the keys to their super-stretch lim0 over to Kermit and co., we’re looking back at nearly 30 years of Hollywood Studios’ most rockin’ ride.

The Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith first roared to life at Hollywood Studios – – then known as Disney/MGM Studios – – in 1999. However, the road to the ride’s opening had nearly as many twists and turns as the Vekoma coaster itself.

It feels wonderful to take a dip in the pool after a long day at the theme parks. While several hotels are still undergoing pool refurbishments, one hotel’s pool has finally been reopened!
Get ready to feel some Sweet Emotion, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster fans. The iconic coaster is changing in a BIG way. Say goodbye to Aerosmith; Kermit, Miss Piggy, and the gang will be moving right along to Sunset Boulevard to take over the roller coaster! So, what’s with all the changes? Well, Disney announced that a new Monsters, Inc. themed land is coming to Hollywood Studios, and it’s taking the place of the Muppets Courtyard on Grand Avenue. Another big perk is taking advantage of complimentary Disney World transportation. This transportation can pretty much get you anywhere you want to go on Disney World property and includes a network of boats, buses, monorails, and the Skyliner. However, one Disney World hotel’s transportation options have decreased.
A lot is coming to Disney World in the upcoming years! Some things, such as the Pirates of the Caribbean lounge, the reopening of Test Track, and the new DVC lounge, will be coming in 2025!

We will need to wait a bit for others, such as the new Tropical Americas-themed land, Pueblo Esperanza, and the reopening of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. However, we spotted some exciting news this week about two attractions that are currently closed in Disney World!
It seems to be the time for construction in Disney World! There are lots of construction walls all over Disney World, including in the closed area of DinoLand U.S.A.
This just doesn’t feel right!
The DinoLand U.S.A. closures began on January 13th, 2025, with the closures of TriceraTop Spin, Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures, and Fossil Fun Game. We were sad when the construction walls went up, and we are also feeling some type of way seeing the progress on TriceraTop Spin.
