Disney World is getting ready to change in some MAJOR ways… AGAIN.
And while we’re definitely looking forward to SOME changes, other changes…… not so much.
Morgan & Morgan, the law firm known for its “For the people” tagline, is suing Disney over the potential use of Steamboat Willie in its advertisements, according to the Associated Press.
The suit was filed in federal court on September 17th, claiming that the character is not copyrighted because the U.S. copyright expired in 2024.
I have a confession to make that may blow your mind: I’ve never been on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT in Disney World.
I know, I know…it’s shocking that someone who writes for DISNEY Food Blog hasn’t been on one of Disney World’s most popular rides. Now, I usually JUMP at the chance at riding a new ride when I get the opportunity, but I’ve been to Disney World several times since Cosmic Rewind opened and I haven’t even once even thought about riding it, but I have a very good reason that I’m going to share with you.
A big change just happened in Magic Kingdom, and we’re not sure how we feel about it.
If Tomorrowland is your first stop in the morning for TRON Lightcycle / Run, or your catch to take a break in the afternoon with the PeopleMover, you might have noticed a big red spaceship close to the Tomorrowland Speedway. Well, it looks like this rocket blasted off!
Universal officials confirmed that a guest died after riding the Stardust Racers at Epic Universe on Wednesday, according to WESH news. The Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office stated that the cause of death was due to multiple blunt impact injuries, and the manner of death has been ruled an accident.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said that off-duty deputies responded to a call advising of a “man down” at the park.
It’s almost TIME!
The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays starts November 28th and runs till December 30th. One of our favorite parts is the Candlelight Processional, where celebrity narrators tell the story of Christmas with the help of a 50-piece orchestra and different choirs, and we finally know which narrators are coming this year.
Spooky season means one thing in Disney World. Yes, Halloween decorations in Magic Kingdom. Yes, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party…also in Magic Kingdom. But most importantly, Halloween means Halloween snacks all over Disney World!
Now, y’all know we get excited about Halloween treats, but we just found a new Haunted Mansion-themed treat that we HAVE to tell you about. So meet the Hitchhiking Ghost Cookie, now available at Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea at The Landing in Disney Springs.
I don’t know what it is about it, but ice cream tastes better in Magic Kingdom, and I’m not mad about that. It just means every time I see the castle, I want ice cream either in a bowl, cone, or shaped like Mickey Mouse.
We headed to the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor on Main Street, U.S.A., to check out some menu items to see if you need to add this stop to your Magic Kingdom day. Spoiler alert: if you’re an ice cream lover, the answer is YES!
A fan-favorite candle has just returned to Gideon’s Bakehouse, and it is screaming fall! Gideon’s Bakehouse just announced that the Pumpkin Chai Cold Brew Candle is now available for purchase. Pumpkin WITH chai AND cold brew?! Count us in!
The very best part, though? The candle is available both in-store and online right now! So even if you don’t live close to Disney World, you can still grab this candle to burn in your home.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom might be part zoo and part theme park, but behind the scenes, Disney has a long history of doing its best to help ensure the survival of endangered species, as well as introduce those species to us, the humans, in a way that we can understand them better.
Well, for those who have visited Animal Kingdom and have been blessed enough to see Gino, the oldest gorilla at the park, we have some sad news. Gino the gorilla has passed away.
