Imagine you’ve just arrived at Magic Kingdom. You’ve been planning this trip for ages, and now you’re HERE! You walk down Main Street, U.S.A., drinking in all the sights and sounds. Incredible smells are wafting out of the Confectionery. But there’s no time to stop — you head straight for your favorite ride. But what’s this? What’s happened? The ride is CLOSED?!

Encountering unexpected ride closures can be one of the most disappointing parts of a Disney World vacation. Sometimes those closures pop up suddenly due to bad weather in the area or technical difficulties, but others are planned ahead of time, so you can prepare for them! To help you prepare, we’ve got a full list of next week’s planned ride and restaurant closures.
Disney World occasionally closes rides and restaurants for refurbishments and updates. Next week, there are planned closures in three of the four Disney World parks.

Don’t worry too much, though — so far, each park only has ONE temporary closure (although more unplanned closures could pop up if rides experience technical difficulties or there’s bad weather in the area). Trail’s End Restaurant
New rides open, old rides close and get re-themed, new restaurants open, and there is construction EVERYWHERE (EPCOT is still in an ONGOING state of construction). This progress is also happening at Disney World hotels, including Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, where a restaurant is getting a HUGE overhaul.
One attraction in Disney’s Animal Kingdom has been closed for over a month now, but it’ll finally reopen SOON.

Before you go to Disney World, you’ll want to check out which rides will be CLOSED during your trip.
