Last month, it was announced that the Villas at the Grand Californian Hotel in Disneyland Resort were set to reopen on December 6th.
During the initial plans for reopening, Disney Vacation Club Members were to be able to book stays in the Villas, while the other areas of the hotel were set to remain closed.
Although Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park must remain closed under California’s current theme park reopening guidelines, several changes are coming to Disneyland Resort very soon!
The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will be reopening soon for Disney Vacation Club Members and Buena Vista Street at California Adventure Park is set to open for limited dining and shopping later this month. Now, we’ve got another update related to reservations at Disneyland Resort hotels.
The Disneyland Resort theme parks are still unable to reopen at the moment, but Downtown Disney is soon set to expand into Buena Visa Street in Disney’s California Adventure Park and the Disney Backlot Premiere Store (technically located within California Adventure) also recently reopened.
But, now we’ve got even BIGGER news! If you’re a hoping to visit Disneyland Resort at some point in the future for some shopping and dining and want to stay at one of its resort hotels — you will soon be able to!
With the release of California’s theme park guidelines, Disneyland parks might not be able to open for a while.
For most of the park closure, Disneyland has been canceling guests’ resort hotel reservations as the weeks go on. Recently, cancellations stretched through November 14th, and now there’s another round of cancel;ation notices.
Many areas of Disneyland Resort remain closed with the exception of Downtown Disney.
Disney continues to change the dates for when guests can book hotel reservations at Disneyland, and now we’ve received confirmation that reservations are cancelled through mid-November.
Although Downtown Disney has reopened, the rest of Disneyland Resort remains closed, and could stay that way for some time.
Previously, Disneyland Resort hotels were only accepting reservations starting on November 1st, but it seems that this date has changed again.
All of the Disney theme parks around the world are now open and welcoming guests except for the parks at Disneyland Resort.
Governor Newsom has already sent a team to view the policies in place at Disney World, and soon a team will visit Disneyland as well, but we have still not seen a finalized version of the theme park reopening guidelines.
Although Downtown Disney is open, Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure, and the Disneyland Resort hotels are currently closed.
Previously, the Disneyland Resort hotels were only accepting reservations for vacation dates beginning mid-October. Now, however, it appears that date has been pushed back further.
Although Disney executives have made the case for Disneyland Resort to reopen soon, and we’ve seen some signs showing that Disneyland is preparing to welcome guests, an official reopening date for the Disneyland Resort theme parks has not yet been set.
Today, we’ve spotted an update that shows we may still have to wait a bit longer to visit the happiest place on earth.
