If there’s one thing we can count on with Disney World, it’s change. Well, the magic, too, of course. But also, LOTS of changes!
Are you planning a trip to Disney World or Disneyland and have questions about how Disney Genie works?
It’s no secret, a trip to Disney World can be pretty pricy. But here’s why you might want to spend even more money during your time in the parks.
The costs of a Disney World trip can add up FAST. By the time you’ve paid for your park tickets, hotel room, transportation, food, and souvenirs, there’s a good chance that your budget may already be super tight. So, after all that, why would you want to pay even MORE money to ride an attraction? As wild as it may seem, there is a mathematical reason you might actually want to shell out more for that must-do ride.
Disney’s Genie+ replaced FastPass+ in Disney World as the system to help guests skip the lines at some attractions, and it’s been a controversial transition. The newer service costs money (compared to the previously free FastPass+), and it can be tricky to use sometimes.
We’ve experimented a LOT with the new system since we’re in Disney World every day. We have all kinds of resources to help you make the most of Genie+ if you choose to buy it when you’re in the parks. But Disney’s recent update about Genie+ has us a little confused…. [Read more…]
Surely in 28 short days, nothing wild, major, or important happened in Disney World, right? HA — of course not! As usual, Disney managed to cram a whole lotta news into one short month, and there’s a lot to discuss.
If you haven’t been keeping up lately, you might be surprised to learn that more character meet and greets are returning to the parks, a new cavalcade debuted this month, and the health and safety guidelines CHANGED once again! And that’s just in Disney World. Over in Disneyland, we got some exciting news on the entertainment front that has us seriously considering a trip to California; who’s in? Unless you’re some kind of super-human with LOTS of energy, determination, and luck, it can be tough to ride EVERY attraction in Disney World in one trip (particularly a short one) — even with a little help from Disney Genie+! Even if you don’t end up tackling all the rides in Disney, you can definitely knock out a good amount of attractions if you’re strategic about your days (though depending on the crowd levels it could be challenging!).
If you’re planning a trip to Disney World, this is an important Genie+ rule you need to know about because it could seriously impact your day!

Can you believe it’s almost 2022?! SO much has happened in Disney World this year, and we’re still waiting for some things to return after over a year of closure. But there’s always something new around the corner, and there’s plenty to look forward to in 2022, too!
As we prepare to ring in the new year (either from home or in Disney World), let’s look back at the month of December and reflect on ALL the new things we learned about!
Ah, November. It’s the month of Thanksgiving and (most importantly) the month where most of the big holiday decorations arrive in Disney World! We learned a LOT this month, shared some more tips about using Genie+, and even saw a celebrity or two!
