Be Our Guest as we pay a visit to…well, Be Our Guest Restaurant! This Beauty and the Beast-themed spot in Magic Kingdom is beloved by many for its stunning theming. There’s no denying it — the theming is on point. But our last visit left us loving the experience while feeling a bit underwhelmed by the food. And lest we forget the fact they serve an octopus cocktail right now. (Y’all it is a SIGHT to behold 🐙.) So, how does Be Our Guest hold up? Should you be fighting to get a reservation here? From the day it opened as part of New Fantasyland in November 2012, Be Our Guest Restaurant has been and remains one of the most in-demand dining experiences in Disney World. From the onset, it was unlike any other restaurant in Disney World, offering a variety of dining experiences (based on the time of day: breakfast, lunch, or dinner) in a setting plucked straight out of one of the most beloved Disney animated films, Beauty and the Beast.

The demand for Be Our Guest is rivaled, in fact, only by a meal at that other Castle in Magic Kingdom 😉 — Cinderella’s Royal Table. And much like we did when we discussed Cinderella’s Royal Table recently, we asked our readers to share some of the struggles (or “fails”) that they’ve experienced at Be Our Guest Restaurant in the hopes of helping future visitors feel better prepared for what to expect and consider if this is truly the best option for their vacation dining choices.

NEWS: See the Be Our Guest Restaurant MENU Changes In Store When Walt Disney World Reopens

There is a LOT of news happening surrounding the Walt Disney World dining scene. First, many restaurants around the Resort are now up and running again as select Resort hotels reopened to guests just yesterday.

And yesterday we also got the FULL LIST of restaurants that will be opening in the parks when Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom reopen starting July 11th followed by Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT on July 15th! Upon a recent visit to Magic Kingdom, a most magical surprise popped up on My Disney Experience — a last minute reservation to Be Our Guest Restaurant!! Dreams come true, indeed. Let this serve as a reminder to not only book your dining reservations as early as possible, but to also keep checking because you never know what can happen 🙂

Magic Kingdom’s Be Our Guest Restaurant Now Serving Alcohol During Breakfast and Lunch — And A Price Change

History was made when Be Our Guest Restaurant was the first table service restaurant in Magic Kingdom to serve alcohol. (Magic Kingdom was previously a dry park.) Since that time, alcohol service has expanded to table service restaurants throughout Magic Kingdom.

Today, we’re sharing our recommendations for Quick Service Restaurants when you’re using the Disney Dining Plan.

Remember — the name of the game here is finding the restaurants that hit the right balance: they have 1) a high average entree price, but they’re also 2) spots that we here at DFB would recommend.

Why is this important? Because we want to help you maximize those Disney Dining Plan Quick Service Credits. Note that we have plenty of our own favorites that don’t make this list because the average price didn’t put them at the top.

How-To: Pre-Order Your Meal at Disney World’s Be Our Guest Restaurant

Though we still have a week or so left, it’s definitely safe to say that 2015 has been another big year for the ever-popular Be Our Guest Restaurant in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.

Looking back over the past year… February brought the announcement that lunch at Be Our Guest was ending its FastPass+ test for Disney Resort guests and opening up Advance Dining Reservations to anyone who wished to dine there. In March, we received word that breakfast would be coming to this spot that had only previously offered lunch and dinner. It was also announced that Advance Dining Reservations would be accepted for this new meal as well, even though — like lunch — breakfast is considered a Counter Service meal.

In the weeks and months to follow came a flurry of Advance Dining Reservations (ADRs) made by guests focused on their Disney World vacation plans. Perhaps you have even made one in the time since, which might mean that you may be — at this very moment — getting ready to depart shortly for your Disney World vacation! (LUCKY YOU!!)

If your dining time is for breakfast or lunch at Be Our Guest you have the option to pre-order your meal within 30 days of your reservation, and today we’re going to look at how that process works. DFB Reader Questions Answered: Where Can I Get a Free Counter Service Refill in the Parks?

We’re tackling another question from the DFB Reader mailbag today! Our reader asks:

Which counter service locations in Walt Disney World have self serve kiosks offering free refills?

This is really relevant question from a budget perspective. Since the Resort Refillable Mugs can’t be used in the parks, you might want to know where you can go to get more than one drink from the soda fountain. Let’s check out a couple of spots where you can grab multiple rounds of drinks when you’re extra thirsty.
