We’ve been eating a lot of holiday treats in Disney World, including treats at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, Jollywood Nights, and the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays. That means we’ve tried a lot of peppermint-flavored things at this point.

However, we just had a slice of cake at The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers at Disney’s BoardWalk that blows away all its peppermint-flavored competition, so let’s talk about it.
Happy Holidays from Disney World, y’all! The EPCOT Festival of the Holidays has officially kicked off, meaning there’s even MORE new food and drinks to try in Disney World.

Now, we were at the festival on DAY ONE checking out everything, but we were also spending some time checking out changes to Disney World restaurant menus. So let’s see what changed this week.
We were so excited when Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs (a Disneyland STAPLE) finally made its way across the country to Disney World in Florida. Now, we know that Blue Ribbon is notorious for creating corn dogs that are controversial (Pickle Dog…need we say more?).
Meet the Salmon Dog
Well, we think Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs at Disney’s BoardWalk might have just out-controversial’d itself because its new Corn Dog is probably going to divide a lot of Disney fans. We’re STILL confused about it.
I’m somewhat of a corn dog connoisseur. Seriously, just ask my coworkers here at DFB. It’s a well-known fact that I’m passionate about deep-fried hot dogs (and hot dogs in general, really). A glizzy hates to see me coming.
Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs
So, just imagine how excited I was when it was announced that Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs would be opening on Disney World’s BoardWalk (pretty darn excited). Now that Blue Ribbon has been around Disney World for a bit, our reporters have gotten the chance to experience a ton of wacky and unique creations — from pickle corn dogs to deep-fried Hawaiian rolls. But, whoever came up with this new creation deserves to go straight to jail.
Y’all, we’ve got a little price situation in Disney World we need to chat about!
Neapolitan Cake
Whether you’re grabbing a Mickey-shaped ice cream bar, indulging in an over-the-top cupcake in the parks, or lining up for specialty treats at resorts, sweets are everywhere at Disney World. There is one place that really stands out to us, and while the desserts are delicious, the prices have drawn extreme amounts of fascination and criticism from DFB readers.
Snacks come and go in Disney World, and sometimes when they go, a lot of folks make a big stink about it, and they eventually come back (yes, Sleepy Hollow waffles and Columbia Harbor House hush puppies, we’re looking at you).

Well, another of our favorite Disney World snacks is disappearing, but at least we’ve been given some notice so we can go indulge in them a few more times before they’re gone (hopefully, not forever). The Deep Fried Hawaiian Roll at Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs at Disney’s BoardWalk will be disappearing SOON.
Another week has passed in Disney World, and it’s been a fun one. The new Zootopia show opened in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and we got to meet Nick and Judy right after we caught the show for the first time.

Okay, so the Halloween season is beginning to wind down in Disney World and will officially be over SOON. What does that mean? It means Disney World menus are changing. Goodbye, pumpkin. Hello, peppermint!

So, while we’re already thinking ahead to all the wonderful holiday treats we’ll soon get to try, we’re keeping ourselves busy by eating some new foods at some old fave restaurants, indulging in a few more pumpkin treats, and starting to count down the days until we can eat ALL the food and drink ALL the drinks at Jollywood Nights. We’ve also been keeping an eye on Disney World restaurant menus, so let’s see what’s changed this week. Warning: Two popular Disney Springs restaurants, The BOATHOUSE and Paddlefish, have both removed and added new menu items this week (more on that in a bit). Let’s take a look!

We’re adding another cheesecake and cake slice to our dessert list, this time from the Cake Bake Shop Bakery at Disney’s BoardWalk. You can walk there from the International Gateway entrance in EPCOT. We had perfect fall flavors all in cake form, and you’re going to love it!
Walt Disney World offers a plethora of dining options across property. From quick service eateries to a MICHELIN Star-winning restaurant, there’s seemingly something for everyone. However, that doesn’t mean everything is for everyone.
Goat Cheese Cappelletti
From the countless restaurants inside Disney World’s four parks to those located at each hotel on property, as well as in Disney’s BoardWalk area and Disney Springs, there are some that we would argue should have an age minimum in place, at least during certain times of day. We know that might sound like sacrilege since Walt Disney World is a family destination first and foremost, but it wouldn’t be without precedent.
