We all have our own favorite forms of Disney Transportation that are a must-do during our trip to Disney World. But, Disney also has such a beautiful atmosphere filled with trees, lagoons, and flowers that we LOVE taking the time to walk around the property.
And we’re getting closer and closer to being able to combine a fun ramble around the property with transporting ourselves to Magic Kingdom via the Grand Floridian Walkway! The new pathway will allow guests to walk straight from the Grand Floridian to the Magic Kingdom’s entrance on a special direct path.
Disney recently participated in a question-and-answer session at the Bank of America Virtual 2020 Media, Communications, & Entertainment Conference.
Check out what Christine McCarthy — Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of The Walt Disney Company — had to say about the future of various sectors of the Walt Disney Company.
Disney World is pretty consistently under construction in one way or another. Still, that constant construction saw a pretty big interruption this year with the closure of the theme parks and the subsequent halt on construction.
Since then, we’ve seen a few projects delayed indefinitely and potentially even canceled. Still, there are some projects that march on (at least to the best of our knowledge) — and you might’ve forgotten about some of them! Here are 4 Disney World construction projects you totally forgot were underway!

Walt Disney World is always changing, growing, or under construction.
However, many theme park projects were put on hold or canceled altogether when the global health crisis hit. Earlier, EPCOT’s proposed Spaceship Earth refurbishment and Mary Poppin’s attraction were postponed indefinitely. Then, Primeval Whirl, Stitches Great Escape, and Rivers of Light were permanently closed. Despite budget cuts and supply shortages, Disney has still managed to pull off a few new projects over the summer.

While we have loved visiting the World Showcase’s restaurants and riding Test Track again, EPCOT has a pretty big maze of construction in the park right now.
Although we’ve been giving you a look at everything we find during our park walks (even pumpkin spice goodies and HUGE discounts), it looks like Disney World could be moving forward with one of its new pieces of entertainment in EPCOT!
Walt Disney World is working on quite a few construction projects lately!
We’ve been keeping an eye on the progress of TRON Lightcycle Power Run in the Magic Kingdom and making frequent Disney Skyliner rides to see how Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is doing. We popped into Disney’s Animal Kingdom to see if we could find anything new since our last visit. We spotted something very interesting while taking a bumpy ride on Kilimanjaro Safaris!
