Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
And, we’ve got plenty of merchandise, food, entertainment, and construction to share with you, so let’s dive right on in!
While we have loved visiting the World Showcase’s restaurants and riding Test Track again, EPCOT has a pretty big maze of construction in the park right now.
Although we’ve been giving you a look at everything we find during our park walks (even pumpkin spice goodies and HUGE discounts), it looks like Disney World could be moving forward with one of its new pieces of entertainment in EPCOT!
While there are some unexpected and new changes happening around Disney World, we have been thrilled to see so many projects pick construction back up now that the parks are open!
The pink Cinderella Castle just had its moat filled in, the Grand Floridian Walkway has continued to near its completion, and ALL the construction on EPCOT’s France Pavilion is charging full steam ahead!
Since EPCOT re-opened, you KNOW that means we’ve been visiting La Cava del Tequila at the Mexico Pavilion!
While we’ve noticed multiple health and safety regulations in place around the pavilions already, Disney has continued to update what measures they’re taking to protect guests and Cast Members. Although EPCOT has instilled a new face mask policy and temperature checks, distancing markers and directional signs on the ground have been put in place to make sure that everyone is safely kept apart from one another.
Since we’ve been back in a newly re-opened EPCOT, we’ve spotted Anna and Elsa out in the Character Cavalcades, gone to the Relaxation Station at Akershus, and hopped back on Frozen Ever After back-to-back.
Speaking of, while it’s well worth making a visit to the Norway Pavilion to visit Arendelle with Anna and Elsa, there’s a new pair of Mickey ears that will have you running that way! [Read more…]
The Test Track Showroom has reopened — and we headed over to take a peek inside!
Since EPCOT first welcomed back guests, we’ve seen a number of changes and new additions across the park — including the reopening of several locations that didn’t make their debut with the park!
What’s the MOST anticipated restaurant opening in Disney World? We bet we know what you’re going to say.
Space 220 is the upcoming space-themed restaurant that should open in EPCOT…someday. Now, this restaurant has been a LONG time coming. Space 220 was announced way back in July of 2017. It was supposed to open this past Winter but apparently ran into a bit of a rocky patch. Even with EPCOT now reopened, Space 220 is still closed — so what gives?!
We’ve been hard at work scoping out all the latest news for you this week. Today we have all the details on the reopening of all the Disney World theme parks and MORE!
See all of our coverage on Disney park closures and reopenings HERE. We still have a LOT to share with you this week, so let’s jump right in… .
Now that EPCOT has officially reopened, we’ve been checking out the park to see what’s new!
Upon reopening, the park also kicked off A Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival! Of course, we visited all the booths to see what they’re serving up this year! But let’s take a look at what ELSE is new in EPCOT!
After such a long time apart, it’s been a…JOY!…to see our favorite Disney characters back in the parks!
Whether it’s character cavalcades in Magic Kingdom, Chip and Dale on boats at Animal Kingdom, or waving at stormtroopers before you ride Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run in Hollywood Studios — seeing our old friends back in the parks has been a true silver lining! Recently, we saw two of our very favorites — Mary Poppins and Alice in Wonderland — are BACK greeting guests in EPCOT in a whole new way and we couldn’t wait to say hello!
