Hey there! Big summer blowout in Epcot’s Norway! Don’t worry, though — you can wear this merch ANY time of the year.
Oaken must be clearing out his Trading Post next to the Frozen Ever After Ride! An entirely new stock of items has blown into the Norway Pavilion. You can tell Princess Anna that we would definitely kiss a troll to get our hands on some of these pieces!!
Snow. Christmas carols. Tasty holiday treats. Trees decorated with your favorite Disney characters. Where can you experience all of this holiday magic in just one place? The Christmas Tree Trail at Disney Springs, of course!
The Christmas Tree Trail is back and bigger than ever this year! Not only will you find 27 intricately decorated trees (three of which are brand new!), you’ll also have the chance to meet Santa, shop for ornaments, and enjoy exclusive holiday snacks.
By now we’ve all seen images (or been in the thick!) of the massive crowds at Pandora — The World of AVATAR in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
We’ve braved those crowds to give you the skinny on eats at Satu’li Canteen (including breakfast!) and the drinks at Pongu Pongu. Oh, and let’s not forget the fun pre-packaged snacks exclusive to Pandora! (VEIN POD!!!!)
But as it turns out, folks have still gotta figure out a way to beat the crazy heat even in picturesque Pandora. So today we’re checking out what is thus far the only bottled drink and ice cream cart in the World’s newest land.
Just like everything else in Pandora, the cart is themed its new home. As opposed to your typical Ice Cream Novelties Cart, you’re instead visiting ACE Mobile Treats (the “ACE,” of course, referring to Alpha Centauri Expeditions, the interplanetary travel company that helps humans like us explore Pandora today).
Beverage offerings include standard bottled hydration options you’ll find elsewhere: bottles of Dasani, smartwater, and Powerade, along with Zico Coconut Water (here in Watermelon Raspberry) and vitaminwater (Dragonfruit flavored!). [Read more…]
There’s no shortage of new stuff popping up in Epcot’s Norway Pavilion these days!
The main additions, of course, are the Pavilion’s new ride — Frozen Ever After — and Anna and Elsa’s new meet and greet spot, Royal Sommerhus.
These new attractions have brought about another change to the Pavilion: it now opens at 9:00 am (the majority of Epcot’s World Showcase opens at 11:00 am daily). That means the Pavilion’s Counter Service option, Kringla Bakeri og Kafe, is open for the earlier morning hours, too.
With more traffic in Norway (and we ain’t kiddin’ around — check out the lines from opening day for Frozen Ever After!), the bakery case in Kringla has seen some additions of its own. We thought we’d show you a few today.
Now, there are a few more breakfast-appropriate items that are available for the earlier morning hours, like the Jarlsberg and Onion Biscuit served with bacon, and an Egg and Leek Pastry. But since we had to tackle this… [Read more…]

All over the World, it’s GINGERBREAD TIME!!! It’s a wonderful holiday tradition to feast your eyes on the larger-than-life Gingerbread Displays at several Deluxe Disney World Resorts before you feast your tummy on all the festive treats available during your visit!
We’re going to take you on a visit to the major Gingerbread hot spots in Disney World, and we’ll start our Gingerbread tour at the Epcot area resorts…

We’d love to introduce you to this year’s team of horses… here’s Julia! [Read more…]

So, remember a few weeks ago when we announced that some new treats celebrating the “Frozen Fever” film short would be hitting the scene at BOTH Disneyland and Disney World?
Frozen fans on both coasts were given a few new sweet snacks to look forward to, including Anna’s Happy Birthday Cupcake and even a slice of Anna’s Birthday Ice Cream Cake at a few select Table Service restaurants.
Well, with many thanks to awesome DFB Reader Jessie J., we can share a picture and mini review for you today of another of the Frozen Fever Treats: Olaf’s Perfect Sundae Day! She grabbed it at Beaches and Cream Soda Shop — the favorite ice cream stop for many a guest at Disney World 🙂 .
Olaf’s Perfect Sundae Day features hot fudge, mint marshmallows, and brownie bites all topping a huge pile of Birthday Cake Ice Cream (a natural choice for the celebration of Anna’s birthday, just like in the film). YUM!
Jessie shares that, “It’s really tasty, especially the homemade Mint Marshmallows. The Olaf and Sunflower are white chocolate.”
Even those who have been [Read more…]

So… Frozen Fun ends in Disneyland on May 15th, and Frozen Summer Fun LIVE won’t return to Disney’s Hollywood Studios until June 17th. That’s one full Frozen-free month… What’s an Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf fan to do?!?
Fret not, Frozen fans! In the downtime between the two events, Disney is releasing a few treats in honor of “Frozen Fever,” the film short that can currently be seen on the big screen prior to showings of the live-action “Cinderella” film.
As in the film short, these treats go about the task of celebrating Anna’s birthday… and what’s a birthday celebration without a little cake? Anna’s Happy Birthday Cupcake is a vanilla cupcake with blue buttercream frosting, topped with marshmallows, snowflake candies, and a white chocolate Olaf.
At Disneyland, you’ll want to check spots like the Jolly Holiday Bakery, Market House, Pacific Wharf Cafe, Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Cafe, and The Coffee House.
While the cupcakes are already available at Disneyland, starting April 8th, Disney World guests can check various eateries scattered across property, in parks and resorts alike. Altogether, twelve restaurants will carry the cupcakes in WDW, including Main Street Bakery and Gaston’s Tavern in the Magic Kingdom, Starring Rolls Cafe and ABC Commissary in Hollywood Studios, and Sunshine Seasons and Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe in Epcot.
Resort restaurants that will carry the cupcake include BoardWalk Bakery, Beach Club Marketplace, Contempo Cafe, Gasparilla Island Grill, Landscape of Flavors and The Mara.
Looking for something a little more frozen to celebrate the cast of Frozen? Olaf’s Perfect Sundae Day features birthday-cake flavored ice cream topped with hot fudge, mint marshmallows, brownie pieces (!), whipped cream, and sprinkles.
Those mint marshmallows look a lot like the ones currently available to enjoy with your Warm Hugs Hot White Hot Cocoa over at Olaf’s Snow Fest in Disneyland!
At Disneyland, the Sundae is available at Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor and Clarabelle’s.
And again, starting April 8th, Disney World guests will find it at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, Hollywood Scoops, and Beaches & Cream.
In a new twist, even a few Table Service restaurants are [Read more…]
has taken over the Backlot area of Disney California Adventure, and with it come some pretty tasty snacks. Let’s head inside of Olaf’s Snow Fest and see what Arendelle has to offer.
The lighting inside of Olaf’s Snow Fest is very pink, so it made for a tough photo spot. Adorable nonetheless though! A snack area in the corner is set up so that visitors to Arendelle can recharge after playing in the snow. Although there is only one spot to order, the area is organized to look like separate food booths with different offerings.
The menu is set up in the center of the snack area.
On my recent visit, I tried just about everything they had to offer!

It’s Disney Cupcake Time! And for this round of sweet snacking, we’re checking out Contempo Cafe, one of our favorite spots to snag one of these mammoth snacks!
Located steps away from Magic Kingdom — or a convenient stop on the Resort Monorail line — Contempo Cafe is a great spot to grab a delicious lunch or dinner under the soaring atrium of Disney’s Contemporary Resort. If you’re looking for real sustenance, try their Beef Pot Roast or Hot Smoked Turkey Sandwich.
But it’s also a great stop on any Cupcake Crawl! While you can usually find a classic or two in their case, like the Red Velvet Cupcake, it’s always fun to see their new and seasonal varieties as well!
We’ve shown you the Frozen Cupcake before…but this time I get to review it for realz.
Nope — the cupcake isn’t frozen. Elsa is here in name only.
The streaky Blue Frosting, the Dark Chocolate Cupcake, and the Elsa (or other cast member) Ring and Snowflake Garnish all make for striking visual impact.
Yep, when I was there I got to choose from several different Frozen cast members to adorn my cupcake. Sven, Kristoff, Elsa… take your pick. And that special plastic ring is settled into a plain vanilla buttercream frosting that’s — typical of Contempo Cafe — a little lighter than you may find elsewhere in the parks and resorts.
It’s kind of a cross between the consistency of “lard-y” buttercream and whipped cream. You guys know how I feel about frosting, and I’m not opposed to this variety, it’s just not my favorite.
Cut the cupcake open, and we see, again, the familiar Contempo Cafe cupcake set up. Inside of this one, there’s my favorite [Read more…]
