We talk pretty often about how unexpected problems can affect your Disney World vacation.

Things like bad weather or ride refurbishments can cause issues and make it difficult to accomplish everything on your to-do list. But today, we encountered something truly unexpected — HALF of Magic Kingdom was closed in the morning!
Well, the past week has been an exciting one, especially for us Disney World fans!
Pumpkin Spice Butter Bar
We got some updates on some pretty MAJOR projects happening in the parks, including a revamped Country Bears Jamboree, more ideas for the Magic Kingdom expansion, and potential concepts for the reimagining of DinoLand, U.S.A. But that isn’t all that happened. While all THAT was going on, Disney World was changing up some restaurant menus, but it’s okay because we are on top of it!
It’s no secret that we have several favorite snacks in Disney World.
Spring Roll Cart
There are the classic snacks, like Dole Whip and Mickey Waffles. But newer snacks have won us over, too, including some that are no longer available (we miss you, Wendell Bear Claw). Well, one of our favorite snacks has now RETURNED to Disney World, and if you see us over here dancing with some spring rolls in front of Cinderella Castle — well, no you didn’t.
The wait for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure to be completed feels like it’s taking FOREVER, y’all, and we’re getting impatient.

Sure, Tiana would tell us to have patience because “fairy tales can come true.” But Disney has already stated that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure won’t open until late 2024. So, for now, we’re just checking in on the construction of the ride, hoping to spot something new, and well, we’ve got a NEW update to share with you.

We finally found out when we could meet and greet with Figment in EPCOT, announcements about a new Disney’s newest ship, the Disney Adventure, and so much more… but, even our best fortunetelling powers couldn’t have prepared us for how soon we’d see another CHANGE so quickly in Magic Kingdom. A new meet and greet has officially arrived in Magic Kingdom, but that means we had to say goodbye to one of our favorites. After learning that a Mirabel meet and greet would be replacing the Merida one at Fairytale Gardens, we were left wondering what might happen to our girl Merida — and today, we happened to find her in an unexpected spot!
It’s the sad but honest truth that not all Disney World restaurants are equal.
