The newer Star Wars attraction is located in Galaxy’s Edge and is so popular that Disney uses a boarding group system to load guests. It can be pretty difficult to snag a boarding group when the parks are busy, and now the process has changed again!

Welcome to Disney World!
Maybe you’re thinking about escaping over to — oh, I dunno — Disney World, perhaps? No judging here. We love that place (did our name give it away? 😂). Gives us something to write about on a daily basis. But before you make the trek out to the Most Magical Place on Earth, let’s play a rousing game of Red Light, Green Light.
Ever since it first opened in December of 2019, Rise of the Resistance in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge has been arguably the most popular ride in Disney World!
Rise of the Resistance
The ride typically loads guests using a boarding group system where guests are required to open the My Disney Experience app and secure a pass at 7AM or 1PM if they wish to ride. This system has seen its changes in the last two years, but it has been the only way for guests to experience the attraction…that is, until yesterday.
If you haven’t been to Disney World in a few years and you’re going back soon, let us first say — congratulations!
