2 Disney World Icons Are Closing for Good This Week – And We’re Not Okay

Another part of Disney World will be closing for good this week. It has been more than a year since the first round of closures started at DinoLand U.S.A. in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This week, we have to say a final goodbye to this land. We have so many amazing memories in this area, and we are going to miss it!

We will miss you, Dinoland U.S.A.!

While the closure will make way for something new at Disney World, it is still a sad time to lose something that has brought so much happiness over the years. We will miss you greatly, DinoLand U.S.A.!

A NEW Disney World Hotel Pool Closure Starts This Week

If you were planning on spending a relaxing day by the pool at Disney World, you need to know about another Disney World hotel pool closure that is starting this week! It is a popular time for Disney to temporarily close pools for maintenance, as cooler weather in Florida makes them less in demand. With this week’s newest pool closure, there are now 5 Disney World hotel pools closed.

There is a lot of construction underway as Disney works to bring new lands to life at Disney World, such as Pueblo Esperanza and Piston Peak National Park. And even amid all the closures for these expansions, other attractions and locations are also closed for maintenance and updates.

A NEW Closure Starts This Week at Magic Kingdom

Are you hoping to meet Donald, Daisy, Minnie, and Goofy in Magic Kingdom this week? We have a heads-up for you: a popular meet and greet area in Storybook Circus is temporarily closing. However, you CAN still meet these beloved characters during your visit!

Update On 2 New Lands Coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Construction is ALL over in Disney World right now, but Disney’s Hollywood Studios is home to TWO different massive land overhauls, which means lots of walls (and that’s not even counting the smaller construction projects happening around the park).

Muppets Courtyard behind walls (August 2025)

Muppets Courtyard is in the process of becoming Monsters Inc. Land, and Animation Courtyard is undergoing lots of changes to become the new Walt Disney Studios area. We’re beyond excited for what both of these projects will bring, but for right now, they’re behind walls, and we’re just getting slight glimpses whenever we can.

12 Disney World CLOSURES Continue Through Next Week

Disney World is currently undergoing significant changes. Construction is well underway for multiple new lands, including Piston Peak National Park in Magic Kingdom, Pueblo Esperanza in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and a Monsters, Inc. land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. To make way for these new lands, numerous areas in Disney World have been closed, and Disney is also working on refurbishments and upkeep.
