When Disney World reopened last summer, much had changed about the parks.

Welcome to the Magic Kingdom
The parks introduced a new mask requirement for guests over 2 years of age (a policy that continues to evolve), temperature checks, social distancing, and limited capacity. Also, park pass reservations were required for entering the theme parks.
It’s been over a year since the Disney parks were closed due to the global health crisis.
Now, the reopened theme parks are still operating at limited capacity, but those limits may grow as more people are vaccinated. Health concerns constituted a major drop in demand for travel, so how is a return to normal demand levels looking?
There are a LOT of things going on at EPCOT.
As part of the EPCOT Transformation, new rides, restaurants, and experiences are coming to this park. On top of that, EPCOT has already gotten new flags, new entrance music, and new nighttime lights in its entrance area, AND Leave A Legacy has returned in a new, colorful way! Soon, Spaceship Earth will also have a new nighttime look and we’ve got a special peek behind-the-scenes at part of this new look right here!
Hello, DFB readers! We’ve been spending some time at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

Tree of Life
And while we enjoyed taking a safari to see all the awesome animals, we also popped into the shops and restaurants to see if anything new had turned up since our last visit. So let’s get on with the updates!
Do you know the significance of October 1st in Disney World history?
Walt Disney World opened on October 1st, 1971, which means that this year, the resort will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary. With new offerings around Magic Kingdom and the fact that it’s a milestone occasion, we’re expecting massive crowds for the 50th. However, an anniversary isn’t the only thing big in Disney World that day, so today we’re sharing the full list of what’s happening on October 1st, 2021!
We’re suckers for our caffeine fix.
Can ya blame us? We need our energy to bring you all the Disney World updates! You might remember when the TOTALLY adorable Disney Parks Starbucks Tumblers and Mugs released in the parks and online. They went quick, but now you have ANOTHER chance to snag one!
One of the things we love most about EPCOT’s World Showcase is that it gives us a chance to travel the world and maybe see — and eat — things we wouldn’t normally find anywhere else!
Thanks to World Showcase, we’ve had the chance to dive into the cuisines of France, Morocco, the U.K., and more! But our most recent jaunt across the “World” took us to Italy! The Italy Pavilion has multiple options dining options including one of our favorites — Via Napoli. But this go-round, we stopped into Tutto Italia Ristorante for a hearty Italian meal.
We’ve tried lots of St. Patrick’s Day treats in Disney World this week. But, one of them was not like the others.
Today, in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, we’re trying not one, not two, but THREE desserts in celebration of the holiday. And, we learned WAY more about Irish lore than we ever expected. Yes, we’re naturally going to share our review of the dessert trio. But, we’re also about to teach you a lesson in Irish history and pirates. Get ready.
Many treats in Disney World have already received a special makeover for St. Patrick’s Day.
Now, we’re checking out an iconic, fan-favorite snack that’s received a festive overlay in celebration of the holiday! Oh, and did we mention it’s Mickey-shaped?
