If you’re looking to head to Disney World in the future, you’ve probably taken a gander at the different resort hotels. Well, we have a WARNING. There are some TOTAL LIES about Disney World hotels you shouldn’t believe!
UPDATE: The Monorail is now running and operating. We will continue to monitor the Monorail lines in the coming days and we will let you know of any operating changes as we see them.
Things in Disney World can change rapidly. Sometimes rides or forms of transportation need to be evacuated or temporarily shut down for technical issues or other problems.

Right now, some issues seem to be affecting the Disney World monorail. If you’re staying at a monorail hotel, or are planning on leaving from or going to Magic Kingdom, here’s what you need to know.

Guests Don’t Have to Wear Masks Outdoors
In the early evening last Friday Disney announced a MAJOR change to their mask rules. Over the past few days, we’ve also seen changes made to social distancing, the early phasing out of temperature checks, the reopening of several restaurants, and more big news. There’s a bit of construction at Disney World right now!
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
Sometimes, rides, restaurants, and hotels will close temporarily for maintenance or refurbishment. And of course, you’ll want to keep an eye out for any of those closures during your trip! So today, we’re bringing you our weekly refurbishment update for May 24th-30th.

J.W. Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort and Spa
Last year, the JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort & Spa opened up just minutes away from Disney World. But while the hotel has been up and runnin’ for almost a year, its rooftop bar, illume, has yet to make its big debut. That opens on May 27th — and we were able to stop by yesterday for a little preview!
Cape May Cafe at Disney’s Beach Club Resort has finally reopened!

And we were there on its grand reopening day, checking out how things have changed, and comparing it to what it was like before it closed with Disney World last year. We were there for breakfast, but we also decided to check it out for dinner!
A new ice cream place to try!? Don’t mind if we do.
BoardWalk Ice Cream
This morning we spotted a sign go up for a NEW ice cream spot at the former location of Ample Hills Creamery on Disney World’s BoardWalk. Well, it didn’t take long for the new BoardWalk Ice Cream to announce its hours and the menu — and now it’s already OPEN! We (of course) had to go give it a try and now we’re bringing you our FULL review.

Recently, Festival of the Lion King in Disney’s Animal Kingdom resumed shows, and we’re looking forward to Disney’s Beach Club Resort reopening at the end of the month. And elsewhere on property, a poolside restaurant is BACK!
