May the Fourth — Star Wars Day — is coming up soon and we’re expecting some exciting things in the parks and beyond. Disney has announced a ton of snacks and drinks will be coming, along with some exclusive merchandise. If you’re spending the holiday in Disney World, we have an important update you might want to know about!

Is it ever a bad time for coffee?
Joffrey’s Coffee and Tea Company (yep, the same one from the Disney parks) has an online collection that features Disney-inspired coffee blends that you can enjoy from your own kitchen. There’s a new blend in town, and if you love all things ‘under the sea,’ this could be the blend for you!
When it comes to preparing for the summertime heat at Disney World, having comfortable and breezy clothing is the key to staying as cool and relaxed as possible while you’re walking around in the parks under that hot Florida sun.

Outdoor Voices is one athleisure brand that has become increasingly popular for Disney Parks visitors over the last couple of years, with comfortable and breezy athletic wear that doubles as a cute park outfit. Specifically, we’ve seen tons of visitors rocking the Exercise Dress (some of us here at DFB even own a few ourselves!), which is the OG version of the workout dresses that have been super popular recently because of their style, versatility, and built-in shorts that, yes, allow you to settle into your seat on Space Mountain without a care in the world. Gotta be prepared for those really sunny days!
Let me paint a picture for you. It’s 98°. You’re standing in an outdoor queue for a ride with a 2-hour wait time, desperately trying to inch closer to the fan that’s fifteen feet ahead of you. The Dole Whip you got earlier in the day to cool off melted into a sticky mess as you ate it, and the evidence is on your shirt. Listen, we love Disney World, but in the summer it can be ROUGH. So, sometimes we do some questionable things to survive the heat — but don’t knock ’em til you try ’em!
Want to visit EPCOT with shorter lines and smaller crowds? Extended Evening Hours might be a great option for you, but you’ll want to be CAREFUL.
EPCOT
This special perk lets guests at Disney World Deluxe Hotels and Deluxe Villas (as well as a few other qualifying spots) stay LATE in select parks (usually Magic Kingdom or EPCOT) on certain nights after the regular park guests have left for the day. During those bonus hours, certain rides stay open, giving you the chance to hop on popular attractions like Frozen Ever After or Seven Dwarfs Mine Train with much shorter waits. But there is a big complication you’ll want to be aware of before going to these events.
