So, here at Disney Food Blog, we have serious opinions about Disney food — it’s kinda what we do.
We’ll be the first to let you know about new snacks in Disney World, as well as get you updated reviews when restaurants change their menus. We’ll also talk a LOT about some of our favorite snacks (oh, Dole Whip, how do we love thee?), but we also have some snacks we just don’t like…like at all. However, now we’re going to have a chat about snacks that are just WAY overrated.
Look at this photo. It’s perfect. The greenery is stunning. The foliage is fantastic. The floating mountains are monumental. Disney did something RIGHT when they built Pandora in Disney’s Animal Kingdom — that’s for sure.

Pandora
We’ve been taking in the sights, sounds, and even smells of this land ever since it opened, so we know a thing or two about the land and everything inside it. That’s why we were especially perplexed by this WEIRD new addition at Pandora. We need to talk about it.
Well, another week has passed in Disney World, and how is it already the middle of September?
Well, it is, and we’ve had another busy week of eating ALL the things in Disney World. You might find us, though, hanging out at the Happy Hour at The Edison some days in Disney Springs, although we did spend a little time getting to know the new menu at Pecos Bill in Magic Kingdom (and we’ll get to those changes in a bit). We also tried six NEW snacks in Disney World — and we have thoughts. Additionally, we spent some time digging through Disney World restaurant menus to track other changes, so let’s get to the menu updates.
Well, friends…even though Lightning McQueen is leaving Hollywood Studios, you’ll see him in a Disney World park again.
You see, the Cars are coming to Magic Kingdom! The park will start to prepare for the recently announced Cars expansion SOON, with work slated to begin in early 2025. And we’re chatting about exactly where those Cars will be parking themselves in Magic Kingdom. [Read more…]
As Walt Disney once said, “Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world.” The same goes for Disney World, as a lot of changes are about to be coming across all the parks.
D23 happened last month and we got so many new and exciting announcements! Unfortunately, these exciting announcements also mean that existing parts of the parks will close to make way for these new offerings. While change can be scary, and we are sad to see these parts of the park go, we are looking forward to what is to come in the future. There are currently five permanent closures on the horizon at Disney World.
One thing that sets Disney World apart from other theme parks is that you have a chance to see a LOT of animals in the parks.
Sure, Animal Kingdom has an entire SAFARI where you can see animals in habitats similar to their natural ones, not to mention all kinds of walking trails where you can see tigers and gorillas up close. However, don’t sleep on EPCOT because it has one of the largest indoor aquariums in the world and hosts its own share of wildlife, including all kinds of fish, sharks, and our personal favorites, the manatees. Well, a NEW manatee has joined the Disney World family — and we think you’re going to love him.
Every week, we report the average Disney World wait times in every park so that you can be prepared for your next trip to Orlando!
Disney World wait times rebounded in a HUGE way this week after a few weeks of surprising lows. The jump was spearheaded by a big bump in the wait times for Flight of Passage, TRON Lightcycle / Run’s first full week with a standby queue, and a busier-than-average week at Hollywood Studios.
Are you getting ready for your Disney World vacation?
Disney definitely knows how to keep you on your toes when you’re planning a vacation. Sure, they’re not chaining you to the parks or anything, but if you’ve ever felt like Disney’s got you caught in a seriously magical bubble, you’re not alone. Let’s break down how the mouse has perfected the art of keeping you close and why stepping outside that bubble might just be the best thing for your next Orlando adventure.
Extra, extra, read all about it! Seriously, we’re sure Disney World hasn’t had a wink of sleep because it has dropped so many new updates this week. If you’ve missed out, this is your chance to catch up!
