You might want to sit down, because we’ve got some disappointing (though not entirely unexpected) news: Lightning Lane prices are increasing at Disney World. If you’ve been paying attention, you know this isn’t our first rodeo. (Or our first Rise of the Resistance, for that matter.)
Lightning Lane Single Pass is the à la carte option for the headliner rides that aren’t included in Lightning Lane Multi Pass, so it’s what you buy when you absolutely, positively cannot stand in a 90-minute standby line for TRON, Guardians, or Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, for example. Prices for these passes have been climbing for a while now, and this latest bump sets new all-time highs at several rides.
Disney World has a BRAND-NEW Hotel opening on July 1st, 2027: The Lakeshore Lodge… And I am STOKED! Look, I know that a lot of people are hating on Disney World hotels right now, but me? I’m excited for Lakeshore Lodge (yes, despite people calling the rooms here a “glorified Marriott”) based on some of the fantastic concept art and aerial construction photos we’ve seen.
Built on the site of the former River Country water park, the hotel has a design “inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists,” with elements of numerous films, including Pocohontus, Brother Bear, Encanto, Fantasia, and Bambi. It’s going to be home to 967 guest rooms, a massive waterplay/pool complex known as the Wetlands (which frankly looks like it could be my new favorite pool at Disney World), and — OF COURSE — a cadre of new dining options!
What if we told you to give us $100, and then we just stomped on it and tore it to shreds? If you go to Disney World without a Lightning Lane strategy, you might as well do that!

Cinderella Castle
Ever since they debuted back in 2024, Lightning Lanes have become a must-know part of any Walt Disney World trip, and that’s especially true at Magic Kingdom. But snagging a spot in the shorter line isn’t as simple as tapping a few buttons in the My Disney Experience app. If you want to make the most of Disney’s skip-the-line system at the “Most Magical Place on Earth,” you’ll need a game plan for booking all three types of Lightning Lanes for 2027, and we’re breaking it down for you.
Disney World resorts can feel magical and unlike any other hotel in the world. Unfortunately, some things still happen that aren’t magical!
If you’re staying at Disney’s Riviera Resort, or popping over to enjoy some of the dining and experiences, you might want to stay outside from 1 PM to 3:30 PM because it might get loud.
If you’ve ever sailed with Disney Cruise Line, you know there are a few things you can count on: a perfectly timed towel animal waiting on your bed, Mickey-shaped everything, and your favorite cafe being exactly where you left it. Well, hold onto your mouse ears, because we’ve got to tell you about a change that could impact your next Disney cruise.
We just got off the Disney Wish, and we confirmed some pretty disappointing news about the specialty coffees on board. Whether you’re a cruise veteran who has the entire Sail Away Party memorized or you’re still daydreaming about your first sailing, this one’s worth paying attention to. (Yes, we may or may not have gasped a little when we found out!)
When Disney World announced it was building a Tropical Americas-themed land that included Encanto, I may or may not have shed a tear. Was that tear for the idea of stepping into Casita and meeting the Madrigal family, or for knowing I had to say goodbye to DinoLand U.S.A.? We’ll never know, but Pueblo Esperanza is coming to Animal Kingdom, and we’ll share every update.
The new land is planning to open in 2027, and behind the construction walls, Disney has been hard at work making sure everything gets done. Thanks to our friend Bioreconstruct on X, we get a sense of what’s happening behind those walls, and Disneyis progress is fantastical and magical.
Although the Disney World restaurants this week mostly focused on price changes, there were quite a few items on some of the menus that changed. This week was filled with new spring rolls, specialty waffles, churros, and so much more!
From the four theme parks, two water parks, and Disney Springs to the resorts, we found a BUNCH of changes on the menus! Let’s check out what’s changed!
Things are always changing at the Walt Disney Company! Lately, it feels like the parks are entirely new places thanks to updates like Villains Land, Piston Peak, Monsters Inc. Land, and more.

Magic Kingdom’s Cinderella Castle
Each week, it feels like Disney is constantly dropping new information, details, and more! That’s why we like to do a weekly wrap-up of the biggest news so you don’t miss a single thing. Let’s dive into this week’s latest and greatest Disney news.
Holidays at Disney World are truly the best time of the year. Once you see the lights twinkling on the Christmas trees and get snoap “snowflakes” stuck in your hair, the parks become even more magical!
If you’re willing to spend some extra money on an after-hours event, we’ll always recommend Jollywood Nights in Hollywood Studios. This event is packed with so much fun that we can’t resist a ticket every year, but it turns out we’re not the only ones, because some Jollywood Nights are already sold out!
