Most of Disney World seems to have skipped Thanksgiving altogether and moved on to Christmas.
Although Christmas decorations are going up all over the place, you can still find some ways to celebrate Thanksgiving in the parks. One restaurant just announced TWO special meals, celebrating both Thanksgiving and Black Friday.
Holiday decorations are going up in the Disney World theme parks, gift shops, and hotels.
So far, there have been awesome decorations at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort (home of the giant gingerbread house), Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, and more. We’ve seen a TON of things return to Disney World this year!
Restaurants have reopened, pre-shows came back, and there are even modified character meet and greets again. But, some things still haven’t come back, like the Cirque du Soleil shows in Disney Springs. The new show, Drawn to Life, was set to officially debut in Spring 2020, but then Disney World was shut down and the show was put on hold. But now, the show is finally about to be available — opening night is this Thursday, November 18th! And, one sweet spot in Disney Springs is celebrating with a NEW dessert.
We’ve been hanging out in Disneyland lately, trying all kinds of festive treats.
We had lots of tasty snacks at the Festival of Holidays, and there were even more options to choose from at the Merriest Nites holiday party. The holiday season has officially arrived in Disneyland Resort which means that there is SO 👏 MUCH 👏 NEW 👏 FOOD 👏 TO 👏 TRY!
And, this year we aren’t messing around with your average milk and cookies, we’re trying everything from Peppermint Beignets, to GIANT Peppermint Milkshakes, to CHURRO Funnel Cakes, and more! You can see Santa in a number of spots in Disney World this year.
In Animal Kingdom, you’ll find Santa on a boat. In Hollywood Studios, Santa appears in a special motorcade. You can also spot him during Very Merriest After Hours in Magic Kingdom, and Santa will soon arrive in EPCOT. But, what if you don’t have a park ticket? Well, you could still see Santa if you follow some special steps!
