Disney is always working on new attractions, hotel updates, new restaurants, and more. Now, we’re going to look at some changes made to a BAR in Disney World, one that just recently reopened with a refreshed look.
It is a big week for restaurant and snack news in Disney World.
Trail’s End
We’ve been gearing up for one of the biggest days of the year in Disney World — EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival — which begins on July 27th, 2023. But, did you know that a popular restaurant that had closed for a refurbishment and redesign was scheduled to reopen this week as well? Trail’s End Restaurant at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground was set to open on July 27th as a new quick-service concept, but it has opened its doors early for a soft opening and we went to check it out. Come see how it went!
Quite a few things are getting UPDATES in Disney World right now!
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn is getting refurbished from top to bottom, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is getting a new DVC tower, and Splash Mountain was closed at the beginning of this year to become Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom. But soon, one refurbished restaurant will be reopening!
Y’all, if you love to eat and love feeling like you’re on a wilderness expedition while doing so, then we have great news for you.
Fort Wilderness
In January of 2023, Disney announced that Trail’s End Restaurant at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground would close for refurbishment. In the past, the restaurant served family-style skillets for breakfast and dinner, and was a fan-favorite choice for many Disney World visitors. Of all the resorts on Disney World property, Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground might be the least visited — at least by guests who aren’t staying there.

It isn’t necessarily an easy location to get to if you’re staying somewhere else, but if you’re on a budget and like camping, it might be EXACTLY the Disney World accommodations you’re looking for. However, if you’re looking for something a little more bougie, you can always get a cabin onsite where you can “rough it” with all the amenities you might enjoy at a hotel. But what about food at this resort? Well, let’s take a look at what’s available.
We’re headed to the Fort Wilderness Resort to check out the bar-style eats — and a cocktail or two — at Crockett’s Tavern. With an extensive cocktail menu and some classic bar snacks, is Crockett’s Tavern an enjoyable place to spend an evening?

Beaches and Cream
Disney World theme parks are set to begin a phased reopening on July 11th, but at the end of this month, signs of guest life will begin returning to Disney World. Disney Vacation Club Resorts and Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground will reopen on June 22nd. Now, Disney has released the list of ALL of the RESTAURANTS that will be opening that day!
