We got more information about the opening timeline for Test Track and the new Pirates of the Caribbean tavern, AND we now have an opening timeline for the new Spaceship Earth Lounge in EPCOT!
Test Track is coming back… but not as soon as we thought.

EPCOT’s Test Track has been closed for a massive refurbishment since the middle of 2024, with only an ambiguous “2025” noted as its reopening date. That is, until Disney confirmed a new reopening timeline for the iconic thrill ride today, December 3rd. However, EPCOT aficionados may not be happy to read it.
Let’s play a game called, “Which major celebrity visited Disney World this week?” because, at this rate, it seems like someone famous is stopping by at LEAST once every few days. As they say on one of our favorite Magic Kingdom rides, the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, “You never know who you might see!”

It’s been a HUGE week in Disney World — at least for food.
We’ve been eating and drinking our way around EPCOT this week
That’s because the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays has officially kicked off and have spent the past few days eating and drinking our way around this year’s food booths. Let’s just say we also ate a lot of cookies and enjoyed the first Candlelight Processional of the year where we got to see the voice of Olaf himself, Josh Gad, (who also voiced Le Fou in the live-action Beauty and the Beast) narrate the Christmas story. However, Disney World restaurants still had a few changes this week, so we’re going to tell you all about them between bites of cookie.

We say “welcome BACK” because Tangierine Cafe: Flavors of the Medina serves as a year-round Food Booth at each of EPCOT’s seasonal Festivals throughout the year, and that’s no less true of its role as one of the Holiday Kitchens at the 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Holidays. The park that opened in 1982 is not the same as the one we have today, with a variety of attraction changes, new restaurants, and updates to World Showcase pavilions. But in that time, some places have been “abandoned” or left unused around the park. And we think Disney could turn those spots into some incredible dining locations!

EPCOT has already gone through some MAJOR changes over the past few years, but there are still a few more to go.

The biggest changes were those made during the massive EPCOT transformation that re-imagined entire parts of EPCOT, gave us Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and CommuniCore Hall and Plaza. But EPCOT isn’t done just yet. Disney is also working on reimagining Test Track into a brand new version of itself. We’ve seen concept art of that re-theming, but Disney recently shared a look INSIDE the work being done at Test Track RIGHT NOW.
Sorry, Pop Century fans, but we have a bit of bad news for you.

There has been ongoing construction at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, and while it was supposed to be done this week, it has now been extended once again. Luckily, it’s not all bad news, though! Let’s find out what Everything Pop Dining & Shopping construction will continue and what is done.
