A major Disney infrastructure project just took a major step forward!
Several months ago, Disney filed an application for the expansion of the Magic Kingdom’s Ferry Dock, including dock expansion, hardscape improvements, and a floodplain compensation area at the ferry boarding location.
Usually, it’s weird to think about the holiday season so early in the year, but if you’re planning a Disney World vacation, it’s a different story!
Disney makes holiday announcements MONTHS in advance so that fans can plan their trips and purchase their tickets with time to spare. We typically see these holiday celebration announcements a little later in the year, but right now, we’ve got a hint about a popular offering returning!
Disney World is constantly changing, and soon there will be some things to watch out for at Magic Kingdom!

Magic Kingdom
In 2026, we have already seen an entire land permanently close, rides go down for refurbishment, and construction feels like it’s everywhere at Disney World. As things change, guests need to adapt and change their plans and traditions to still get the most out of their vacation — even in the middle of changes.
Disney World is enormous. It is a city wearing mouse ears. It is a vacation destination built on snacks, logistics, and a frankly alarming number of tiny details most people walk right past while speed-walking to their next Lightning Lane.
And sure, plenty of Disney fans know the usual trivia. Hidden Mickeys. Secret menus. Forced perspective. The whole “yes, I do know where the best bathroom in EPCOT is, thank you for asking” energy. But even if you’ve been to Disney World a bunch, there are still some weird, wonderful, wildly specific details hiding in plain sight. Some are real Imagineering flexes. Some are backstage-level oddities. And a couple are legends that Disney fans refuse to let die, because honestly? They’re too good.
Here are the Disney World secrets, details, and bits of delicious park lore that even frequent visitors still miss.
Nothing can ruin my trip to Disney World more than sitting in the middle of a ride and realizing this space is just too dang small. I’ll be vibing and enjoying myself when all of a sudden, I can’t find the exit, there are people everywhere, and the walls are caving in. Yeah, not really magical in my opinion.
Because of my distaste for small spaces at Disney World, I’ve made a list of rides or attractions I just won’t do because of them. Does it mean I never do them? No, but I come prepared with headphones, a book, and plenty of anxiety medications. So if you’re like me, here are some rides I would avoid in Disney World.
Not every Magic Kingdom ride is worth the wait, and some of the most hyped attractions in the park are quietly eating up your precious park time.
With so many incredible experiences packed into one place, skipping the wrong rides can mean missing out on something way better. Here’s a breakdown of some rides you can safely pass on and the alternatives that’ll actually make your day.
We recently set off on a NEW adventure across the galaxy, and it’s almost time for more Disney World fans to do the same!
We got to experience the newly revamped Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin in Magic Kingdom during a preview, and it’ll be reopening to the public on April 8th. The ride has seen some significant changes, but there’s one change Disney’s contemplating that could make fans very disappointed!
Disney fans are many things. Passionate. Opinionated. Armed with screenshots. Spiritually incapable of letting go of one very specific retired dining experience.
And this week, the people have spoken.
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is set to reopen on April 8th with a BUNCH of changes.
The ride is getting new blasters, new ride scenes, a new character, and more. We got the chance to check out the ride before it officially opens as part of a preview, and while we LOVE the new changes, we did spot something that we think might be a problem going forward — and it all has to do with the new blasters.
