Magic Kingdom is packed with excitement these days, now that popular entertainment options are back, character hugs have returned, and the 50th Anniversary celebrations are in full swing! But in the past few days alone, we noticed quite a few changes in the parks, and we wanted to make sure our readers didn’t miss anything — here’s everything that’s new in Magic Kingdom.

50th Anniversary Merchandise
There are countless gift shops with unique collections, and all kinds of items from pins to shirts to toys and so many other things that we couldn’t even begin to list them all! It can be a bit overwhelming to do your shopping while you’re on your trip, simply because of the sheer volume of choices out there, but don’t worry — a lot of those same products are available online. And you can often find them at a discount! This week, we’re sharing all the NEW merchandise Disney dropped online!
It’s been 13 years since Avatar was released in theaters, earning over $2.8 billion, making it the highest grossing movie of all time. It inspired an entire area in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Pandora — The World of Avatar (which is celebrating its 5th Anniversary soon, by the way), and since the initial movie’s release, many have been eagerly waiting for information about its sequel.

We recently got to see the teaser trailer for the new movie, Avatar: The Way of Water, and when it is released, James Cameron is hoping to reintroduce a dying film medium: films in 3D.
Disney World’s 50th Anniversary isn’t the only celebration happening around the parks!

A ton of celebrations will take place on May 27th too! While Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will officially launch in EPCOT that day, an entirely different celebration will be taking place as well. That celebration is the 5-year anniversary of the opening of Pandora — The World of Avatar! And if you can’t visit Animal Kingdom to celebrate, no worries! You’re able to snag some celebratory merchandise from home!

This remarkable and truly immersive area of the park is themed after the James Cameron movie Avatar, and May 27th marks the land’s five-year anniversary of being open in Animal Kingdom. And now — thirteen years later — the world is finally getting an Avatar sequel. Disney just shared a brand-new teaser trailer for the film and we’re sharing the details!

Since most queues reach their peaks later in the morning or afternoon, these are the types of rides that you should be visiting FIRST thing in the morning!
There’s a LOT going on in Disney World right now. The 50th Anniversary is still happening, and you can find treats and celebrations throughout the parks. EPCOT is going through a massive transformation with new restaurants, rides, and attractions all coming to the park. And part of that huge transformation is the opening of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind! This coaster is officially opening to guests on May 27th, 2022. But that’s not the only exciting thing happening on that day!
