There is so much to see and do in Disney World!
Sometimes the best way to fit as much in as possible during a Disney vacation is to park hop!
If you’re relatively new to planning a Disney World trip or you just haven’t been in a while, you might be seriously confused about park hopping because it’s changed so much.
After Disney World reopened, we didn’t even HAVE park hopping, and when it did come back, it was modified. On top of that, we also now have park pass reservations, as well as Disney Genie and Genie+ to deal with, and combined with all that, the ins and outs of park hopping may leave us all scratching our heads. But have no fear — we’re going to do our best to answer ALL your park hopping questions!
Disney World has changed A LOT over the past three years.
Since Disney World’s reopening after its historic closure, we’ve seen limited capacity come and go, park pass reservations get introduced, entertainment slowly coming back, and other changes. In January 2023, Josh D’Amaro, the Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products, outlined NEW changes coming to the parks. However, he also mentioned that these changes may not “address everyone’s feedback.”
Things are constantly changing in Disneyland — it’s all part of Walt Disney’s original dream for the parks.
New rides open, new lands arrive, and park policies change. When Disneyland re-introduced park hopping after its extended closure, guests could not park hop until after 1PM. Well, we’ve got some big news — you can now park hop EARLIER in Disneyland.
So many things are changing at the Disney parks that it can be difficult to keep them all straight!
PhotoPass changes will soon be made for those who buy Genie+ in Disney World, Splash Mountain has CLOSED in Disney World to make way for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure (and it will eventually close in Disneyland too), and other changes have been announced for the West Coast. With all of this news, you may have missed or forgotten about two critical adjustments coming to Disneyland soon.
Are you and your crew fans of Disney’s transportation system in the sky? We’ve got good news for you!
Disney’s Skyliner is one of the most popular modes of transportation on Disney World property, due to its convenience and because it really is just tons of fun! However, as several things at Disney do this time of year, the Skyliner closed on January 22nd for a week long refurbishment.
If there’s one thing that’s for certain at Disney, it’s that things are always changing.
That’s never been more evident than as of late — with CEO shakeups, potential battles over Disney’s board, attraction updates, and more hitting the company in the last three months alone. Park passes were also recently hit with changes in Disney World and Disneyland, and fans are hoping that could be a signal that more park pass changes are on the way. While Disney has shared that they won’t be going away anytime soon, here are two BIG ways the Disney World park pass system could change in 2023.
Many Annual Passholders are Orlando (or at least Florida) residents who enjoy visiting the parks regularly.
Disney World has just made it easier for Passholders to take more spontaneous trips! [Read more…]
Park Hopping is about to look DIFFERENT in Disneyland!
Some restrictions have been in place for a while now when it comes to crossing between Disneyland Resort’s two theme parks — Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. The Disneyland website currently notes that those with Park Hopper tickets can cross between parks on the same day starting at 1PM. But soon that’ll be changing!
If you’re headed to Disney World soon, you probably know that it can get super crowded some days.Â
Disney World requires Park Pass Reservations to try to manage the crowds, and that’s why we tell you to make your reservations as soon as you can — they do sell out!
