We have been anxiously awaiting news of the opening of the new location, The Tropical Hideaway, in Disneyland that is replacing Aladdin’s Oasis. Today Disney gave a sneak peak at the new location and it looks like it will be a great spot for eats — especially Dole Whips!

The Tropical Hideaway will be made up of “market stalls” with open-air seating and fun torch lights. It’s also opening soon (it was previously announced opening in late-2018).
The Tropical Hideaway will open in Disneyland later this year! The exotic marketplace will be nestled between two Adventureland attractions: Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room and the Jungle Cruise.

Disney has promised that “In addition to experiencing delicious tastes from all corners of the world, you’ll also encounter colorful wildlife.” And part of that wildlife will be none other than Rosita from the mobile chorus “in the Tiki, Tiki, Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room”! [Read more…]

In keeping with the general feel of its home in Adventureland, much of the upcoming new eatery, The Tropical Hideaway, has remained an intriguing mystery.

So far, we have simply known that this new area in Adventureland — which will be tucked between Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room and the Jungle Cruise attractions — would be “Coming Soon,” according to writing on the construction walls surrounding the spot.
