Hurricane Ian has quickly strengthened from a tropical storm to a Category 4 hurricane, and various areas of Florida are expected to be impacted.

A state of emergency has already been declared for the state, and we previously saw hurricane warnings and flood advisories issued. Now, there’s another update as to the warnings in place for counties in central Florida.
Hurricane Ian is expected to make landfall in Florida today, first along the southern part of the west coast. Its current path has the storm moving across Central Florida before leaving the state sometime on Thursday, according to experts.

In response to the storm, Disney World, Universal Orlando, and other Florida theme parks have closed on Wednesday and Thursday. Disney World, Universal Orlando, and SeaWorld are all closing for the next couple of days, schools closures have been announced, and Florida is under a state of emergency. Hotels in the Orlando area have begun offering special pricing for evacuees, and we’ve also seen no availability for hotels in Disney World. Now, we’ve got an update on changes happening at a hotel near Disney World.

Target already held its first set of Deal Days earlier in 2022, but you can never have too much of a good thing, right?! Magic Kingdom at Night
Yep, they’ll be back at both Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios starting in January of 2023. These events are separately ticketed events that let you stay in the Disney World theme parks for 3 hours after the park closes to regular guests. There are usually much lower wait times during these events, which is part of their appeal! So, when are these events taking place and how much will they cost? We’ve got all the details for you!

Be Prepared for Storms
Thus far, a State of Emergency has been issued for Florida, a hurricane watch is in effect for the counties within which Disney World is located, flood advisories and tropical storm watches are also in place, and Disney World has announced some multi-day park closures. Now we’ve got some more updates ahead of the storm.
With things getting back to normal after the pandemic, we’ve seen a HUGE increase in travel within this year.
