Have you been to a galaxy far, far away lately?
We’re, of course, talking about the planet Batuu in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney World! We decided to swing by the most hoppin’ place in the system at Oga’s Cantina and we noticed some changes!
In a galaxy not far, far away, people will soon be able to “board” the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser (aka the Star Wars hotel) for a 2-night immersive Star Wars experience in Disney World.
Disney is still releasing information about what’s included in this 2-night itinerary, which carries a hefty price tag, and you’ll probably want to know about one Galaxy’s Edge spot that is NOT included in the price of a Star Wars hotel reservation. So if you’re budgeting for a visit to a galaxy far, far away — read on.
Can we let you in on a little secret? Sometimes we dream about driving away and just ~escaping~ for a bit. Do you relate?
Maybe you’re thinking about escaping over to — oh, I dunno — Disney World, perhaps? No judging here. We love that place (did our name give it away? 😂). Gives us something to write about on a daily basis. But before you make the trek out to the Most Magical Place on Earth, let’s play a rousing game of Red Light, Green Light.
A (not so) long, long time ago in a galaxy (not so) far away, a quaint little watering hole named Oga’s Cantina opened up in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disneyland.
We’ve tried every drink this spot has to offer! But there’s ONE DRINK guests — including us — keep coming back to time and time again. The Fuzzy Tauntaun. It’s easily the most unique drink on the menu for good reason: IT MAKES YOUR MOUTH NUMB! 🤯 So what are you to do if the craving for one strikes “off-world” (AKA, your home)? Make it yourself! Not only that, but we have a BONUS recipe too. Put on your lab coats and bust out the pocket protectors — it’s about to get sciencey up in here.
Bright suns, travelers! We’re headed to a galaxy far, far away (Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, to be exact) to check out one of the hottest spots in Disneyland! Once the parks opened after being closed for over 400 days, we just HAD to get to Oga’s Cantina for a cocktail (or two!).
Oga’s Cantina is located in Black Spire Outpost, the village on the planet Batuu where Star Wars: Galaxy’ Edge is set. In reality…it’s kinda tucked behind Frontierland in Disneyland proper. 😉 It’s famous for out-of-this-world concoctions and being one of the HARDEST reservations to snag in Disneyland (and Disney World too!). We snagged a reservation right after it reopened. Let’s see if this “wretched hive of scum and villainy” (sorry, wrong Star Wars Cantina!) still holds up!

So, yes, we are pretty much experts when it comes to eating in Disney World.
We certainly have our favorite restaurants and some that we’d rather skip. But, if you’re headed to Disney World you’re going to want to know EVERYTHING there is to know about dining so that you can make the best choices for your family. Well, we’re here to help with the ULTIMATE GUIDE to eating in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
We’re about to go to a galaxy far, far away…and fortunately for us, the trip is relatively short — all we have to do is visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney World!
And if we’re looking for some drinks that are out of this world (out of this galaxy, technically), we’ll head to Oga’s Cantina to imbibe on some drinks that might make our mouths go numb and fill us our inner Star Wars nerd with delight. Today, we stopped by for a few drinks and wanted to share some thoughts!
Oga’s Cantina in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is one of our favorite places to grab a drink in both Disney World and Disneyland!
They have fun-themed drinks like the Dagobah Slug Slinger and Yub Nub, and even a drink that will make your mouth go numb! Oga’s also has a few snacks on the menu that are…let’s just say, unusual for our planet! The Rodian Ration is an alcoholic sort of jello with boba balls inside (which makes them look like fish eggs, in our opinion). And then there’s the notorious Happabore Sampler. Think of it as a charcuterie and cheese board, but WEIRD!
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is full of fun Easter eggs, characters, and dining experiences.
Although guests can visit the quick-service Ronto Roasters or Docking Bay 7, one of the most unique experiences in the land is at Oga’s Cantina (which is one of he HARDEST reservations to get in all of Disney World). If you’ve been wanting to visit the Star Wars drink spot but haven’t been able to score a reservation yet, now’s your chance!
Another week has gone by in Disneyland and that means we’ve got updates!
We’ve made a few stops to The Happiest Place on Earth over the last week and now we’re bringing you all the updates on food, construction, merchandise, and more from Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure, Downtown Disney, and the Disneyland Resort Hotels!
