Not EVERYTHING is worth paying for in Disneyland…
We’re gonna show you the BIGGEST money-wasters across the park – today on DFB Guide.
September can be a really fun time to visit Walt Disney World.
Halloween decorations are out, crowds are usually (comparatively) light in the lull between the end of summer and the start of the full Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas Holiday rush, and special events like EPCOT’s International Food & Wine Festival and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom. However, it’s that latter event that could lead to a big mistake.
We had the opportunity to visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios during the park’s most recent After Hours Event, and we had some thoughts.
A quick refresher: Disney World’s After Hours Events are separately ticketed events that allow guests to enjoy beloved attractions with lower wait times for an extra three hours after the park closes to the pubic, plus enjoy included snacks and drinks. Guests can enter the park at 7:00 PM, giving them a few extra hours in the park before the event even begins! Now that we’ve got that out of the way, here are two of the biggest things we noted to keep in mind for our next time in attendance…and to share with anyone heading to an After Hours Event at Hollywood Studios!
We’re nearing the end of summer, which means there will be fewer crowds and more refurbishments coming to Disney World.
But don’t worry, we’re not fully in that territory yet! Only TWO attractions will be closed for refurbishment in September, and one of them isn’t even in the traditional theme parks!
The Walt Disney Company’s former CEO, Bob Iger, just received one of the most cherished honors you can get at Disney!

Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland
Bob Iger has officially been given a personalized window on Main Street, U.S.A., at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California. Iger’s window is located above the entrance of the Emporium, recognizing him as the “Chief Architect for New Century Builders.”
It’s Halloween, Lo-ween, everybody (if you know, you know). Halloween Time has arrived in Disneyland, and you know what that means: it’s also Oogie Boogie Bash time!
Oogie Boogie Bash is a special ticketed event in Disney California Adventure held on select nights from August 18th through October 31st. It’s like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party…but a little spookier, as one might expect from a party hosted by Oogie Boogie. The party features exclusive entertainment, food and drinks, character meet and greets, and more. You can also trick-or-treat at treat trails throughout the park, and we’re going to give you the full rundown of every treat trail available this year.
Believe it or not, the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival is just around the corner. The beloved festival begins on August 27th and runs through November 21st, so we’ll get a lot of time to dig into all the dishes. Which is good, cause we want everything in the cheese crawl!

If you love cheese, you’re going to want to check out the festival’s cheese crawl, Emile’s Fromage Montage. Not only does it let you try cheese dishes from around the world, but you can also earn a prize. It’s a win-win situation!
After much anticipation and patiently (or not-so patiently) waiting, Disney has finally revealed all of the Booths and Menu Items for the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival this year!
We are so excited to start planning exactly what items we need to try when we visit, but, as always, there are several booths that will be opening later, and today we are bringing you the full list. [Read more…]
The EPCOT Food & Wine Festival is coming up REAL soon, and we couldn’t be more excited. We’re ready to check out the Eat to the Beat concert series, chase a rat around the World Showcase for a prize, and go on a Cheese Crawl.
But what we’re most excited about is, of course, the FOOD. We are all about trying some new food. Well, this year, the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival is dropping almost 100 new menu items…so we’re going to be VERY busy eating our way around the park.
We’ve got some incredible news out of Disney World, especially for those who can’t get enough of EPCOT festivals!
The day we’ve been waiting for is finally here. If you’ve been planning a trip to the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival this year, but don’t know what you plan to eat because menus weren’t out yet, we are here to SOLVE THAT PROBLEM! Disney has released the full foodie guide for this year’s festival, and it’s time to dive ALL the way in!
