The EPCOT Festival of the Holidays is here, and we just want to eat all the eats and drink all the drinks! And maybe say hi to Santa in the process, too!
And we are SO excited to visit Joffrey’s and try out some of their seasonal treats!
food IS a theme park
The EPCOT Festival of the Holidays is here, and we just want to eat all the eats and drink all the drinks! And maybe say hi to Santa in the process, too!
And we are SO excited to visit Joffrey’s and try out some of their seasonal treats!
Everybody get your holiday eating pants on! It’s time to stroll and EAT our way through the 2020 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays (which is being referred to as the Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays this year) and we’re reporting LIVE!
Is there a better way to OFFICIALLY launch ourselves into the holiday season than with a trip around World Showcase and Future World to try all of the best holiday eats and treats? We don’t think so. Let’s dive in!
We’re CERTAINLY looking forward to the opening of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT.
Due to delays from the global health crisis, the new attraction is now on track to open in 2021. We’ve been keeping a close eye on construction progress in the France Pavilion expansion from above in the Disney Skyliner, and now, we just got ANOTHER sneak peek thanks to the ABC Holiday Special!
There are lots of projects going on all around Disney World, but especially over at EPCOT as part of that park’s transformation.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
One of those special projects is the expansion of the France pavilion with the new Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure attraction, La Crêperie de Paris restaurant, and the surrounding area. With the Ratatouille attraction and crêpe shop both set to open in 2021, we’re keeping a close eye on this whole area. Today, as we flew past in the Disney Skyliner, we noticed that a brand new kiosk has been added!
EPCOT is getting a major transformation with a reimagined look, attractions, and more enhancements!
As part of the transformation, Imaginers have created a new color scheme that will be highlighted on shops, structures, and paint jobs around the theme park. We’ve already seen the new design and colors appear on the newly painted ticket booths and construction walls. The new theme has started to move more buildings around the park!
If we’re being honest, we here at DFB really love old-school EPCOT.
Those were the good ol’ days of Universe of Energy, World of Motion, and the OG Figment attraction, Journey Into Imagination. With the EPCOT transformation coming in the near future, we’ve been feeling really nostalgic for the park that we loved in the 80s and 90s! If you’re like us and just can’t seem to let go (or you know someone else who can’t), then we’ve got the perfect holiday gift guide for you!
We are just DAYS away from the start of the Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, and we could not be more excited to taste ALL the delicious things!

EPCOT Festival of the Holidays sign
We’ve already seen quite a few of the booths up around the park, as well as a Festival of the Holidays themed guide map, and a Festival sign. But, as we walked around the park today, we also noticed that the first signs of the NEW Olaf scavenger hunt are also starting to make an appearance!
Walt Disney World will schedule planned refurbishments for attractions throughout the year. It’s best to be aware of the schedule ahead of time so you can plan your vacation around the closures!
December draws in holiday crowds who flock to the theme parks for a chance to see the Christmas decorations and new entertainment. Disney World has planned a few scheduled refurbishments during the first week of December and beyond. To help you plan, let’s do a quick recap of all the attractions that will be closed due to refurbs next week!
Headed to Orlando this coming week to enjoy some of your favorite attractions and snacks (and maybe a taste of EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays)?

2020 Taste of EPCOT Festival of the Holidays
Well, one thing you’ll want to be aware of and plan for is the weather! And, while Florida is typically VERY warm for most of the year, things are actually looking a bit different for this next week. It seems Elsa is brining just a touch of winter weather to the Sunshine State!
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Disney World is about to get a lot busier with the holidays, especially now that the parks are decorated, and the holiday snacks and entertainment have appeared!
That’s why we haven’t been TOO surprised seeing park pass availability for the month of December sell out, especially for Christmas and New Year’s Eve!
