Disney World’s exclusive after-hours Halloween party has kicked off in Magic Kingdom! Our team was there on opening night to show you just what you’ll get out of this potentially $200 ticket.

There was a LOT going on with the first party, and we are WIPED. But we’re going to grab some caffeine and talk to you about some of the things we think you need to know if you’re headed to one of the parties soon. So let’s talk about some important warnings so you’re not surprised when you go to the party.
We go to Disney Springs pretty regularly, mostly for the food.
Daily Poutine
Although we revisit some of our favorite restaurants time and again (Wine Bar George, Polite Pig, and Homecomin‘), there’s one quick service spot we haven’t been to in a while. But we’re going back because there’s been an upgrade…on fries (Okay, you had us at FRIES).
DON’T WORRY. The popular Haunted Mansion ride has reopened in Magic Kingdom after a brief closure last week. But what’s still CLOSED in Disney World?
Cinderella Castle
There are four attractions and two restaurants that are currently closed at the parks, and most of them have no official reopening date set. Let’s take a look at what will be closed from August 13th through the 19th so that you’re prepared for your next trip.
Let’s face it: planning a trip to Disney World is no small feat. You have to plan out which parks you want to visit, decide if you want to pay for Genie+ (and wake up early to buy those Lightning Lanes), and book your dining reservations months before your trip. All that work practically equates to a full-time job!

And sure, we’ll admit that some recent changes have made things a little easier for us guests, like Mobile Order, the Skyliner, and mobile check-in, but lately, we’ve noticed some changes that are making it HARDER to get around Disney World. Let’s talk about it.

Well, that answer totally depends on YOU. Do you want to avoid crowds at all costs? Don’t visit during summer or spring break. Do you want to be in the crowds on the opening day of a major attraction like Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana (which is coming to EPCOT this year)? Prepare for busy parks. If you are someone who is seeking lower crowds and wait times on a Disney World trip, you may want to wait.
Y’all. We have tried some questionable snacks and drinks in Disney World in our time.

Remember that drink that had an actual octopus tentacle in it? We ate that. We even ate Poop Candy back when that was a thing in Disney’s Animal Kingdom (and we have no regrets). We’ve had some unique ice cream flavors, including one that featured bugs. Well, we just ate ANOTHER interesting ice cream flavor — and well, it surprised us.

We were there LIVE (and we took you with us) to experience all the fun entertainment, characters, CANDY, treats, and more. It was a great night! But we need to warn you about something when it comes to eating at the party — it’s a little different than grabbing food on a regular park day.

Toy Story Land
Well, that’s one of Disney’s strong suits, so you’ll be set no matter which park you head to! But Disney’s Hollywood Studios is full to the brim with theming. Galaxy’s Edge will make you feel like you’ve entered another galaxy (far, far away). Hop on Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway and you’ll be transported into a cartoon! And Toy Story Land? It’s hard not to feel toy-sized when entering that section of the park. One ride in Toy Story Land has an especially big fan base: Slinky Dog Dash. Why, you ask? Let’s get into it.
