We’re back with another installment of what’s new at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
This week brought Hollywood Studios new 50th Anniversary banners, the return of finger scanning, some new merchandise, and more. Let’s get into it!
August marks that transition point in the year where everyone heads back to school, summer is over, and we get back into a routine. In Walt Disney World, August was a busy month! We learned a TON of new information (some good, some bad), and got one step closer to the big 50th Anniversary Celebration.
While we prepare for what’s to come, let’s look back at some of the biggest things we found out about Walt Disney World in August.
The Polite Pig in Disney Springs is home to lots of tasty barbecue items.
From Chef’s specials like the Pork Burnt Ends to a variety of limited-time items, and (of course) some yummy year-round selections, there’s quite a lot to choose from at this spot. But, the Polite Pig is not just home to some delicious barbecue, it also has a good selection of drinks and cocktails. And recently the restaurant revealed a NEW cocktail that has the potential to kick things up!
You know what they say — it’s 5 ‘o clock somewhere.
And there are lots of boozy options in Disney World. We’ve had everything from a Watermelon Margarita to a secret drink at Disney’s Hollywood Studios to a boozy Creamsicle Cocktail.
Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs is known for its outrageously delicious (and gigantic!) cookies, cakes, and other treats!
We’re just a little big obsessed with these half-pound (!!) cookies, so it’s no surprise that we can’t wait to try the new flavors they revealed for September. When Gideon’s introduces a new treat, they often have a quirky story to go with it, and this time is no exception.
One of the signature and fan-favorite parts of the Boo-To-You Parade is the very beginning, where The Headless Horseman leads the way.
This year, the Headless Horseman hasn’t made his spooky appearance in Disney World as Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has been replaced with Disney After Hours BOO Bash, and the Boo-To-You Parade is not available for guests to see. The Headless Horseman is set to make an appearance in Disneyland though at Oogie Boogie Bash. But, if you want to snag a view of the Headless Horseman in Disney World and even bring him home, you’ll want to check out some of Disney’s latest merchandise!
When the Disney World crowds begin to rise, sometimes you just. need. a. break.
Whether you’re trying to find the best restaurants with the lowest crowds or just looking for an escape from it all, we’ve got the best restaurants to consider when crowds are through the roof!
Recently, Disney announced its NEW Annual Passholder program for Disney World with 4 different options for guests to choose from (though some are only available for select guests).
We’ve taken a look at the pros and cons of the new system, what you’ll have to pay extra for with the new passes, and each pass’ blockout dates. But, what if you’re an existing Disney World Annual Passholder who is within a renewal period? What are some of the benefits you could get if you renew sooner rather than later? We’re breaking it all down for you here.
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is an interactive Star Wars-themed ride in Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The ride opened in December 2019, and since then it’s used a virtual queue to admit guests. Using the My Disney Experience app, guests can try and reserve a spot starting at 7AM on the day of their visit. These spots are usually gone by 7:01AM, but today there were still available spots WAY later!
Lots of changes have taken place at Disney World over the past few months, and many new things are on the way.
Some of the newest things coming to Disney World will be opening over at EPCOT’s France pavilion. Soon, guests will get the chance to enjoy Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, but they’ll also get the chance to do something very important…EAT at a new restaurant — La Crêperie de Paris! Recently we got a first look at this new spot during a special preview and now we’re sharing ALL the details with you.
