Disney isn’t letting the Arendelle Aqua trend go…
After reviewing EVERY Arendelle Aqua treat, we spotted ANOTHER Arendelle Aqua-inspired creation at Disney’s Polynesian Resort.
In case you haven’t visited any social media channel lately, the NEW Disney color trend — Arendelle Aqua — has officially launched in Disney World and Disneyland.
While we’ve enjoyed checking out all the new merchandise (like the GORGEOUS new Minnie Ears), we also tried EVERY. SINGLE. Arendelle Aqua treat we could find! Join us on a Frozen-themed journey through every Arendelle Aqua cupcake, slush, and treat we’ve found in Disney World and Disneyland.
Happy Arendelle Aqua Day! Disney’s new Frozen-inspired color trend collection is taking the Disney parks and resorts by storm. We’ve already explored all the new merch and reviewed several blue-hued treats, including the Arendelle Aqua Cone and Arendelle Aqua Arctic Punch.
And NOW, Disney has released a first look at even MORE Arendelle Aqua treats coming to a few of the Disney World resorts!
It’s time, it’s time for Dole Whip Lime… in the new DOLE WHIP LIME MARGARITA found at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort!
The Polynesian has been making the most of the lime Dole Whip, which made its Disney World debut at Magic Kingdom’s Storybook Treats in the Peter Pan Float. Since then, the Polynesian has featured it in the new Heart of Te Fiti Lime Dole Whip Cone at Pineapple Lanai. [Read more…]
Hello from the Monorail Resorts! Nothing makes us happier than boarding the Monorail on our way to the Magic Kingdom!

Join me in welcoming guest reviewer, Corinna. Corinna is a Food Allergy Consultant and mother of 2 beautiful girls who both have severe food allergies. She loves to travel with her family and Disney has been a big part of her travels for many years from Disneyland to Walt Disney World to Adventures by Disney. This post was inspired by her most recent visit to Disney World in April 2018. Read on…
We were able to do a dream trip to the Walt Disney World Parks for spring break. Let’s just say it was a busy week, but oh so awesome! Our family of four had the time of our lives discovering the happy Disney atmosphere, the rides, and of course the FOOD.
In our family, we LOVE Disney because they are really good about offering safe options for those with food allergies. In this post, I thought I would share some of the absolutely delicious snacks we found that are safe for peanut and tree nut allergies.
Keep in mind that you should always check whether a snack continues to be safe and if it’s safe for your allergies, because things can change at any time. Disney provides an “allergy binder” or “allergy menu” at every food station that shows the ingredients of every item and what the allergens are. We got used to asking to see the allergy binder before we bought & ate anything.
First of all when you’re at Disney, you won’t find many baked goods that are safe for peanut and tree nut allergies. But fear not, there are lots of other goodies that will fill your sweet snacking tooth! Here are a few of them…
Even though baked goods safe for guests with peanut and tree nut allergies are not plentiful, this one makes up for it by itself! The flavor of cinnamon and sugar surround a crisp, cake-like batter. You can find churros at several of the small food stands scattered throughout the Parks. Yum!
Additional churros can be found these Walt Disney World locations: Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe, Dino Diner, Anaheim Produce, Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies, Cool Ship, Storybook Circus Pretzel Cart, and The Lunching Pad.
So what’s better than a baked good? A baked good with ice cream! Safe ice cream can be difficult to find for people with peanut and tree nut allergies in general, which is why this treat is so special. It combines two hard-to-find goodies into one over-the-top treat. This goodie is especially perfect to cool you down in the heat of the day, and you can find it at Oasis Canteen.
If you’re touring other areas of Walt Disney World, you’ll find more funnel cakes on the menu at the Funnel Cake Stand in Epcot’s American Adventure Pavilion, Sleepy Hollow Refreshments, and the Funnel Cake Kiosk along Disney’s BoardWalk.
We were lucky to be at Disney during Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival which runs until May 28, 2018. During this time there are additional “outdoor kitchens” throughout World Showcase. One of the outdoor kitchens we visited was Pineapple Promenade.
Not only could you get Dole Whip here but they also had a selection of unique and refreshing drinks. We opted for the allergy-friendly violet lemonade. Complete with a gorgeous and edible violet right on top!
In our family, a vacation to Disney isn’t complete without consuming copious amounts of Dole Whip. My kids were talking about it for quite awhile before we went. Which is why Tamu Tamu Refreshments in the Africa area of Disney’s Animal Kingdom was such a welcome sight for us. It was an easy decision; Dole Whip it is!
Need more Dole Whip? This tasty treat can also be found around Walt Disney World at Aloha Isle, Pineapple Lanai, Barefoot Pool Bar (served with rum), Marketplace Snacks, and Everything Pop food court.
What delicious goodies have you found at Walt Disney World that are safe for peanut and tree nut allergies?

If you’ve been keeping up with the DFB, or if you’ve been anywhere near Disney World recently, then you are well aware that Rose Gold is taking over the entire place. Like most things around here, “it was all started by a mouse.” Minnie Mouse, in this case!
Always one to be on top of the trends, her Rose Gold Minnie Ears have been the hottest item that can’t even be found in the merchandise shops anymore due to their immense popularity!
And now, treats galore in the Instagram-worthy hue are likewise springing up all over! Let’s take a ‘round the World tour so you can find your own Rose Gold Cupcake… or Rose Gold Margarita (?!?) in Disney World. Yep, read on…
DFB itself broke the news on the nutella-with-vanilla Rose Gold Ears Cupcake at Sunshine Seasons in Epcot, and you can check out our review here!

Sure, we may have said “So long” to the Flower and Garden Festival for this year, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty to look forward to at Walt Disney World! Springs moves to summer as Disney World gears up for the busy vacation season, otherwise known as the “Coolest Summer Ever”!
And since it’s a very special time of year for Star Wars fans in particular, why don’t we start our ‘round the World tour at Hollywood Studios to see What’s New!
Star Wars Weekends
kicked off on May 15th!
The excitement! The pageantry! The CUPCAKES! The Jabba the Hutt Cupcake has joined the Darth Vader and Yoda Cupcakes this year.
It can be found at counter service locations such as Starring Rolls, Backlot Express, The Trolley Car Cafe, and Tusken Fridge Raiders — the premiere Star Wars snack stop, located inside Darth’s Mall.
But cupcakes aren’t all that’s in store…
Like last year, several temporary pop-up bars can be found all over the park for the weekend events.
However, they feature all-new drinks this year. Each bar serves two out of of four drinks: The Mustafar and The Tatooine, or The Endor and The Alderaan.
We’ll be taking a closer look at those beverages soon, but once again this year, it’s ALL about the souvenir glow cubes: drinks come with either a Millennium Falcon glow cube or your very own mini Death Star.
The Jedi Mickey Character Dinner at Hollywood and Vine and Star Wars Galactic Dine-In Breakfast returned to Hollywood Studios earlier this month (on May the Fourth Be With You, naturally). But brand new to Star Wars Weekends this year is the Rebel Hangar — A Star Wars Lounge Experience, which has effectively converted half of Backlot Express into an abandoned spaceport in the Sullest system.
You can read all about this special month-long dining event featuring small plates and specialty cocktails in our full review of the Rebel Hangar!
Believe it or not, though, it’s not all Star Wars at Hollywood Studios… we’ve got some regular ol’ menu changes at some favorite Table Service restaurants to report as well. Sci-Fi Dine-In has added the Sci-Fi Popcorn Treat to the appetizer selection. It’s popcorn soup (for watching those old movies, of course!) with buffalo popcorn chicken and celery sticks, drizzled with blue cheese dressing.
New entrees include Grilled Marinated Salmon, while the Veggie Burger got a [Read more…]

Well, wouldn’t you know it?
Right after I visited the Polynesian Village Resort’s Barefoot Pool Bar when it reopened along with the refurbished Lava Pool and I reported that the specialty drink menu hadn’t changed…
It changed.
Well, that’s not entirely true :). Everything you could previously purchase at the Barefoot Pool Bar is still available (that means the pool bar standards like the Captain’s Mai Tai and Banana Cabana). In fact, they’re all still prominently listed on the main menu.
But, lo and behold…. just days after my visit, I heard about some all-new (and if I understand correctly, mostly exclusive) drinks at the Barefoot Pool Bar!
You can spot the descriptions on a stand-up sign, and fans of the Polynesian will get a kick out of reading the well-themed drink names as much as the descriptions with titles like the Pago Pago Pain Killer, Niue Rita, Lava Flow, Tonga Tea, and Samoa Sunrise. Just click on the image below to enlarge and read the item descriptions. I love that the Samoa Sunrise features POG Juice!
I didn’t see this menu at all on my previous visit, but whether that’s because they were not being served yet since the pool bar had just reopened or I’d missed the roving sign, I’m honestly not sure.
Ah, well… it’s here now, and so are we! So, let’s have a drink, shall we? We’ll go with [Read more…]
