Epic Universe Files Permit for Potential Expansion

Universal’s Epic Universe has only been open to the general public since May of 2025; however, a recently filed permit is adding more fuel to speculation that the park may be expanding sooner rather than later.

The permit, filed on November 7th, 2025, is for site utilities and foundation work for new construction, identified as a 150,000 square foot building. The address listed on the permit is 1001 Epic Blvd, Orlando, Florida 32819, which is the new park, with Baker Barrios Architects Inc. listed as the applicant.

ALERT: New Construction Walls Have Gone Up in Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Okay, so Disney’s Animal Kingdom is under a lot of construction now, and even more construction is on the way. Right now, Disney is closing Dinoland, U.S.A. in phases as it creates a brand new land, Pueblo Esperanza. Recently, the show inside the Tree of Life, It’s Tough To Be A Bug, closed to make way for a new show, Zootopia: Better Zoogether (and we got to see it!).

Well, another set of construction walls has appeared at an Animal Kingdom attraction, Gorilla Falls, and we just wanted to warn you ahead of time so it doesn’t catch you by surprise.

We’ve Never Been THIS Excited to See New Construction Walls Up in Disney Springs

A lot is happening in Disney World right now, and there is construction pretty much everywhere. Three of Disney World’s four parks are getting new lands (plus a new expansion in Magic Kingdom), while Disney World hotels are getting updated rooms and new lobbies.

Well, not to be left out, there’s some construction happening in Disney Springs, too. We previously learned that LEVEL99 will be moving into the abandoned NBA experience, and we’ve previously seen signs of that coming soon. Well, new construction walls have popped up around the building, so progress seems to be moving right along.

FIRST LOOK at the New Snack Stand in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

There are LOTS of construction walls up in Disney World right now! You will find walls up around Pueblo Esperanza in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Piston Peak National Park in Magic Kingdom, the new Monsters, Inc. land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and various other spots where construction is happening in Disney World. There are also some walls up in Toy Story Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios around what has been rumored to be a new snack stand, and today, we got a FIRST LOOK at this new spot!

Something has “popped” up in Hollywood Studios!

We have been keeping a close eye on this spot, curious about what would pop up. Well, now we have our first look at the new snack stand that has “popped” up over the top of the construction wall! Disney hasn’t officially confirmed that it is a new snack stand yet, but based on what we are seeing, we are pretty confident it will eventually be a snack stand.

NEW Permits Filed for Monsters, Inc. Transformation in Disney World

Monsters are coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios! A brand-new Monsters, Inc. themed land is coming to Hollywood Studios, and NEW permits were just filed for construction. The land will be located in the Muppets Courtyard area, which began a phased closure in May 2025, and the entire area was closed as of June 8th, 2025. This includes Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano, Muppet*Vision 3D, and PizzeRizzo.

A new ‘Monsters, Inc’ land is coming!

Disney hasn’t yet announced an opening timeline for the new Monsters, Inc. land, which appears to be named Monstropolis based on an exhibit that is located inside Walt Disney Presents in Hollywood Studios. However, progress is definitely being made in the area, and we spotted TWO new permits for construction!

FIRST LOOK at the Pool Coming to Disney World’s Newest Hotel

Workers have been hard at work on Disney World’s newest hotel, Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge. The new Disney Vacation Club hotel will be located on the former home of Disney’s River Country water park near Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.

We have been keeping a close eye on the construction progress, and @bioreconstruct recently posted some exciting new photos. The hotel has really started taking shape, and we can also see the NEW POOL! It is hard to beat a day sitting poolside at your Disney World hotel, so we are excited to see the pool begin to take shape.

BIG Changes Are Happening Behind The Construction Walls in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Things are really shaking up at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This summer, Muppets Courtyard closed to make way for construction that will eventually become a brand new Monsters, Inc. land.

Then there’s the construction at Animation Courtyard, which just closed recently. Well, a LOT has been going on behind those construction walls, but we’ve only been able to barely get a look at what’s been happening behind those walls as the area transforms into The Walt Disney Studios. Now, though, we’ve got some new overhead shots of the area to get a closer look at the construction!

Okay, so you might be aware that a lot is going on right now in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Recently, Muppets Courtyard closed to make way for a brand-new Monsters, Inc. land.

Animation Courtyard also recently closed to be reimagined as The Walt Disney Studios. Now, when we looked at the concept art for the updated area, we noticed that something was missing: the Hollywood Studios arch that stands in front of the area. Well, it’s official, the arch has officially been removed. It’s GONE, people.

3 Sneaky Disney Announcements We’re Still Trying to Decode

We’re used to Disney first making major announcements about their latest projects, with most featuring all the bells and whistles of a D23 reveal. However, the company occasionally hints at yet-to-be-confirmed specifics in subtle ways. Whether it be information dropped on their social media channels or details hidden in concept art, we often find ourselves decoding these clues, Swiftie-style.

The new Villains Land coming to Magic Kingdom will feature fan-favorite Disney Villains from popular Walt Disney Animation Studios films and two new attractions.

Over my 30+ years of being a Disney Parks fan — and 7+ years writing about them — I’ve seen Disney announce a lot of projects, and I’ve come to learn that every tiny detail released is worth examining, especially when it comes to some of the biggest announcements they’ve made in recent years.

Disney Just Updated a Construction Eyesore at Hollywood Studios

There are some big projects going on in Hollywood Studios right now, including the major plans Disney has for Animation Courtyard.

New artwork on the walls!

Walls went up around this area when Star Wars: Launch Bay and Disney Jr. Play and Dance! closed a few weeks ago, but now, there has been a change to the construction site. The walls are now covered in concept art for the new space that’s coming in 2026!
