Sometimes it feels like you can see closures or construction in Disney World practically everywhere you look.
EPCOT
Right now, EPCOT is the park with the least construction, partly due to the fact that it’s the only park not getting an entire new land. However, if you look closely, you’ll find small projects throughout the park, like La Poutinerie, which has a planned opening date of July 1st. Another one is about to join the list, though, and we’ll be without this World Showcase store for a few months.
Well, here we are again, writing the type of post that pains us to do so basically every time it happens, because we’re talking about something that we all groan at — price increases.
Pain au Chocolat from Les Halles
One of our favorite spots to stop for a snack in EPCOT is Les Halles, but we’re far from the only people who have the same idea, because you’ll normally find the line here to be TOTALLY out the door. It moves fast, most of the time, but in our experience, the line is worth it to try some of the delicious offerings they have in the case. If it’s one of your favorite spots as well, we’ve got some bad news — 16 new price increases just hit the menu, and we’re not happy about it.
EPCOT’s France Pavilion is dangerous in the way only a place full of pastries, champagne, ice cream, and tiny Parisian streets can be dangerous.
Remy Fountain
You think you’re just walking through. Maybe you’ll grab a croissant. Maybe you’ll wave politely at the Eiffel Tower in the distance. Maybe you’ll make one responsible snack choice and continue your mature, balanced World Showcase day.
EPCOT may not have as much construction going on as Disney World’s other three parks (because, well, EPCOT has been there, done that), but there are still some big updates happening in the park, especially in the France Pavilion.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
Recently, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure got a massive update that saw its 3D elements removed to become a 2D ride (and those of us who get motion sickness are FOREVER grateful), but Disney also promised some other updates to the ride, including some new props and lighting elements. Well, now, Disney seems to have taken the first step in making those additional upgrades to the ride.
When it comes to shopping at Disney World, you’ll find some of the absolute best stores in EPCOT’s World Showcase!
France Pavilion
Where else can you find sweets from the United Kingdom, funky chip flavors from China, and perfume from France all in one place?! We could spend hours just perusing through each and every shop, and oftentimes, we do. If you’re like us, then there’s an upcoming EPCOT store closure you need to know about in the France Pavilion.
We have eaten at every restaurant in Disney World, but we aren’t stopping there! Even though we have dined everywhere you can dine at Disney World, we still revisit locations to try different items and provide our readers with the most up-to-date reviews. EPCOT
While we have been visiting Remy, stuffing our faces with crepes, and waiting in line for pastries at Les Halles, two attractions in the pavilion have been closed for refurbishment. But now, Disney has finally announced when they will be returning!
It’s no secret that we love to eat — and drink — our way through EPCOT’s World Showcase, but that’s not the ONLY thing we enjoy doing there. We also love the entertainment, meeting characters, and getting to travel around the world without ever leaving EPCOT.
France Pavilion
But one thing we also LOVE to do is visit all the shops in each World Showcase Pavilion because you can find some unique souvenirs that you won’t find anywhere else. Well, we just found what might be our new favorite souvenir in the France Pavilion, and trust us…you’re going to want to run to EPCOT ASAP and grab it.
