Yo ho, yo ho, it’s a BIG day for Pirates and Pirates fans everywhere!
Yep, Pirates of the Caribbean in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom is one of the attractions that is considered to be an OG — with this attraction popping up just two years after the official opening of the park in 1971, and six years after the attraction arrived to Disneyland. Well, on December 15th, Disney World’s Pirates of the Caribbean attraction reached a HUGE milestone.
When it comes to beloved Magic Kingdom rides, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is at the top of the list for many.
Located in Frontierland, the western ghost town-themed coaster is a great choice for those looking for a family-friendly ride. Plus, it’s one of our FAVORITE places to catch the Magic Kingdom fireworks each night. If you’ll be visiting Disney World in January, though, you might not be able to ride the attraction…
There are quite a few Disney World restaurants that get a bad rap.
From lounges that people dismiss because of overpriced food to food courts where the menus are sometimes considered “bland,” we’ve heard a plethora of restaurant complaints over the years. But one of the most commonly trash-talked restaurants is located in Magic Kingdom, and its TripAdvisor rating isn’t too hot either!
If you’ve ever driven to Magic Kingdom, you know that it can be a pain!
The Magic Kingdom parking lot, otherwise known as the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) is actually over a mile away from the park itself. Once you park, you’ll have to take a tram to the front of the TTC (or walk if you feel like getting those steps in), go through security, and then board either a Monorail or a ferryboat to ride the remainder of the distance to the entrance. But those doing this process today might have a big hurdle to jump.
Okay, so your Disney World trip is booked, your travel is sorted out, you’ve got your park pass reservations, and you’ve made your advance dining reservations. You’re done with all the planning, right?
Well, no! That’s because things can change quickly in Disney World, especially when it comes to park hours. Yes, the park hours change OFTEN. We recently noticed some changes, too, that we need to tell you about, including an early closure at one park.
We talk a LOT about Disney food, but we also love to chat about Disney drinks.

Night Blossom
The one thing Disney does not lack is a variety of drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Some of our fave drinks are located in the parks, like the Frozen Mint Tea in EPCOT’s Morocco, the Night Blossom in Animal Kingdom’s Pandora, and LeFou’s Brew in Magic Kingdom. Well, we just found out where to get LeFou’s Brew WITHOUT a park ticket.
Okay, do you consider Genie+ a MUST in Disney World these days?
So many of us do because, let’s face it — we hate waiting in long lines, and Genie+ lets us use those shorter Lightning Lanes at many rides. However, Genie+ can get SUPER pricey sometimes, especially on busier days in Disney World (that surge pricing is NO joke). But on some days, like on December 10th, the price of Genie+ outright shocks us — but for a different reason.
The holiday season in Disney World is VERY special, but everyone seems to know that because it’s also one of the busiest times of the year, especially the closer we get to Christmas.
We’ve already seen park passes disappearing for Magic Kingdom on both Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve, but we also recently noticed that park passes have disappeared for select Disney World visitors the week before that.
One merchandise stand that’s been closed for three years FINALLY reopened in EPCOT, but there’s another stand that’s still closed in this park!

EPCOT
Disney has to close restaurants, attractions, snack stands, and other locations occasionally in order to complete refurbishments and update the spaces. For some of these smaller stands, it’s possible that there simply aren’t enough Cast Members to keep them all open. Whatever the resason, this EPCOT snack stand is closed with no reopening date in sight!
