We found out in September that this beloved show would be returning in a new way after Disney World’s 50th Anniversary ended. The show will replace the Disney Enchantment fireworks show. TRON Lightcycle / Run is a new roller coaster that’s opening in Tomorrowland on April 4th, 2023. It’s a super fast coaster that uses motorcycle-style ride vehicles and takes visitors on a high-speed race through the Grid. We’ve already tested out this ride during the previews, and we’ve got lots of tips and information to help you get ready for the official opening date. With the recent news of a major gift shop CHANGE, new merchandise for an upcoming ride, and the new interactive TRON experience, there is a lot to talk about at Magic Kingdom. Here are all of the updates we have seen in Magic Kingdom recently.

Whew — what a day for TRON news! In the past few days, we have reported on the FULL MENU for the TRON snack cart, the NEW interactive TRON experience, and even some of the upcoming TRON merchandise! Now we have a NEW LOOK at a ton of TRON souvenirs!
We have good news! Today, Magic Kingdom held a special event that allowed us to check out the all-new merchandise coming to the park for the grand opening of TRON Lightcycle / Run.

Why is this good news for you? Because we get to take you along! Guests can look forward to shopping for TONS of new items, from apparel to toys to collectibles and more. One item stood out to us and we think it will probably be one of the best sellers!
The TRON Lightcycle / Run roller coaster is opening on April 4th, 2023, in Magic Kingdom, and there are some other exciting updates that will come along with it.
Energy Bytes
Disney announced a few new merchandise collections that will be available when the ride opens, and there’s an interactive experience coming as well. But what we might be MOST excited about is the snack stand that’s opening near the queue for the coaster. This spot will be called Energy Bytes, and the featured menu item is something that can’t be found in many other places in Magic Kingdom: savory dumplings!

A NEW restaurant is opening soon in Hollywood Studios, another new spot is coming to Disney’s BoardWalk, and there are new restaurants in the works for Disney Springs and a Disney area hotel. But in Magic Kingdom, Disney has a new snack spot now open in Tomorrowland near TRON Lightcycle / Run and now we’ve gotten a full look at pricing details for those eats and drinks!
