January was busier than expected in Disney World, and February is going to FILLED with new and exciting things!
We’re going to be able to catch a new cavalcade, a new stage show, returning restaurants, and lots more, so let’s get into it!
Disney World is constantly updating and changing attractions, hotels, and shops. If you’re visiting the parks soon, don’t be surprised if a few spots are closed for refurbishments.
So that you’re prepared before your vacation, we found every hotel, ride, and attraction that’s scheduled to be closed in Disney World in February. Some Disney World offerings can close without notice if weather or technical issues become a problem, but the closures on this list are all of the ones you can plan on before you go. [Read more…]
Before you head to Disney World, there’s one big thing you should do that a lot of people forget about — checking the list of refurbishments!
Throughout the year, various Disney attractions will close briefly to get routine maintenance. Sometimes those refurbishments are short, only lasting a week or so, while other times they may stretch on for months or even years (we’re looking at you, Walt Disney World Railroad!). Right now, Expedition Everest is in the middle of a three-month refurb, and we noticed some changes at the ride today!
It’s been an exciting week of announcements about new and returning entertainment at Disney World! Not only did we find out when Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade will begin, but we also got a reopening date for the Festival of Fantasy parade, which will once more feature the fire-breathing Maleficent dragon!
We even know when the new castle stage show, Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire will debut and when the Frontierland Hoedown will return. However, a new photo shows signs that another very popular Disney World show could be set to return soon!
Disney World has to close down attractions or transportation systems sometimes so they can do general maintenance.
Sometimes the closures are long, and other times, they are quick and easy, but it’s important to stay in the know about these closures so you don’t end up surprised that your favorite ride is closed during your vacation! Luckily, one closure just ENDED in Disney World!
The Disney Skyliner is one of the newest and most convenient transportation options in Disney World.
You get to board a gondola and travel through the sky — so it’s basically a ride outside of the parks! The Skyliner connects a few Disney World Resort hotels with two Disney Parks, but this transportation option will be unavailable for a few days. Find out if you’ll be affected on your next Disney World trip.
There’s nothing quite as disappointing as speed-walking up to your favorite Disney World ride, only to find that it’s closed.
Rides can close for several different reasons (like the weather, maintenance issues, etc.), but you can be prepared for some of the closures ahead of time. We’ve got this week’s list of all the rides, attractions, and hotels that are scheduled to be CLOSED in Disney World next week. [Read more…]
With the 50th Anniversary of Disney World going on right now, there are a LOT of changes happening in the parks! New attractions like TRON: Lightcycle Run and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind are on the way, but there are also plenty of big refurbishments going on too.
Today, another refurbishment starts in Magic Kingdom, but don’t worry — it’s just a short one!
Disney World can sometimes experience unexpected closures and problems in the parks, but there are other changes that you can plan for.
We keep an eye on the refurbishments schedule for Disney World, which means we know which rides are scheduled to be closed on certain days. Here’s a report of everything that’s going to be closed in the parks and hotels next week! [Read more…]
Happy New Year to all our DFB Friends! The holidays are over, but Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration is still going strong!
And it won’t be long before Valentine’s Day, so January is already gearing up to be an exciting month at Disney World. Not to mention, the EPCOT Festival of the Arts will begin soon! In the meantime, though, we’ve been over to Disney’s Animal Kingdom to see what’s been happening over the past few days. So here is everything we found that’s new!
