Things are always changing in Disney World. Rides close and new rides open. New restaurants are announced and new celebrations take over the parks. We’ve already seen a bit of change coming to Disney World restaurants and dining in 2023, but here are the three best changes so far.
Parting is such sweet sorrow. Once again, Disney giveth, and Disney taketh away.
Hollywood Studios
You might remember a certain spork situation we experienced in both Disneyland and Disney World when Galaxy’s Edge first opened in each park. At one point, dishes at Docking Bay 7 were served with a futuristic-looking spork — until guests started stealing them and POOF! Gone. And now, we’re afraid, something similar has happened again.
Sometimes your Disney World day doesn’t run as smoothly as you’d want it to.
Hollywood Studios
Your must-do ride could break down, your favorite snack may get taken off of the menu, and maybe, just maybe, your favorite restaurant will…CLOSE unexpectedly?! Wait…WHAT?? Restaurant closings don’t happen as often as other aspects of Disney World, but it is a thing that can happen and it’s something you MUST be prepared for.
When you’re planning your Disney’s Hollywood Studios day, you’ll want to jump to hyperspeed on the Millenium Falcon, score big on Toy Story Mania!, and escape to the cartoon world on Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
Runaway Railway
After all of that fun, you’ve probably worked up an appetite. So, before you even arrive Disney World, you’ll want to make an Advance Dining Reservation for a Table Service restaurant.
It’s a beautiful day in Hollywood Studios, where you and your family have already stepped into your Hollywood dreams of surviving the Twilight Zone, rockin’ out with Aerosmith and some sweet backstage passes, not to mention blasting into a galaxy far, far away.

Roundup Rodeo BBQ
In case you haven’t heard by now, Roundup Rodeo BBQ in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is now open — and transporting guests to a backyard barbecue with the Toy Story gang. We went and tried everything on the menu, and it definitely didn’t disappoint, but we did learn one super important thing about the menu that shocked us.
We’re just partway done with 2023, and it has already been a MASSIVE year for Disney World.
