This week at EPCOT brought us several new (and returning) Halloween and fall festive treats, and preparations are being made for the new Creations Shop to open soon. Let’s go over everything new in EPCOT!
The arrival of fall means a lot of things, like changing leaves and cooler temperatures as well as the start of Halloween Time and after-hours events in Disney World like Disney After Hours Boo Bash.
Fall has arrived in Disney World!
If you’re a fan of German-inspired cuisine, the arrival of fall also means that it’s time for Oktoberfest! Be sure to head to Disney Springs in the coming weeks for some festive food and seasonal sips.
With all the excitement happening at Disney World in the coming weeks and months, don’t forget about the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival!
There’s so much to see!
This year’s fest started back in July and runs through most of November, and we’ve had some truly delicious eats “around the world” in EPCOT. The festival is also highlighted by exclusive merchandise, unique entertainment, and fun activities for the whole family. And now, there’s a special photo op just for visitors of Food & Wine!
Disney World’s new Star Wars hotel, the Galactic Starcruiser, is slated to open in Spring of 2022 and Disney is starting to celebrate a little early.

Guests who stay at the Galactic Starcruiser will visit for two nights, during which they’ll be able to participate in tons of Star Wars activities, including “Story Moments” that can change your experience depending on which characters you interact with, droid racing, a visit to Batuu in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and more. Today there’s a new way to bring the Galactic Starcruiser right to your devices, and it’s left us wondering which side we’d join. Maybe it will give you an idea of who you are in the Star Wars universe!
For some time now, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa has been without the spa part.

The Mandara Spa inside the Grand Californian closed in July of 2019, and since then Disney announced their plans to replace it with the Tenaya Stone Spa. The opening of Tenaya was delayed but it’s now scheduled to open on September 16th. Today we were invited to attend an event to get a first look at this new spa space, and you can come along to check it out!
Space 220 is an outer space-themed dining experience coming soon to EPCOT where guests will board an elevator that simulates traveling 220 miles above the Earth to dine at the Centauri Space Station.

There are quite a few new things coming to EPCOT as part of the park’s big transformation.

Soon, EPCOT will have an all-new fireworks show (Harmonious), a new Ratatouille attraction, a new creperie restaurant, and more. But before all of that, EPCOT’s new space-themed restaurant, Space 220, will finally open up for guests to enjoy! We know that the restaurant will be opening up in September, and we JUST found out what will be on the menu, but when will you be able to make reservations? We’ve got all the details right here!
SO many things are set to open, debut, or otherwise become officially available on October 1st, 2021, for the start of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary.
