Can you even BELIEVE that we’re over halfway through 2022?! We can’t!

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
So much has already happened this year in Disney World, like entertainment and character meet and greets returning, hotels reopening, and a brand new ride opening up. And while we’ve had a lot of fun already, we’re also excited about what’s to come — Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and the debut of the new MagicBand+! But, if you’re going to Disney World soon, you probably want to gauge how much time you’ll spend waiting in line for rides, right? Let’s take a look at last week’s wait times to see how things are going!
Disney’s future in Florida has been difficult to predict. Following Disney’s public critique of Florida’s Parental Rights Bill (otherwise known as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill), Florida Legislators pushed back with the proposal to dissolve Disney World’s Reedy Creek Improvement District.
The dissolution of Reedy Creek will remove expansive and operational freedoms for Disney, and risks placing the burden of municipal costs on local taxpayers. So, once Gov. Ron DeSantis signed the bill to dissolve Reedy Creek, many were left wondering what this would mean for the future of Disney World and its surrounding counties. Here’s what we know.
There are so many different things to try in Disney World!
We’re constantly hunting down the latest snacks, in Disney World, like the special Dole Whips we tried for Dole Whip Day! Disney has so many different dining options, including a steakhouse at Disney Springs. If you’ve ever wanted the steakhouse experience at Disney, then look no further than STK! This spot just got some new menu items, but they’re only available for a limited time.
I AM GROOT. (Translation: we found something you need to see.)

We’ve seen a toooon of new merchandise around Disney World lately. Looking for 2022 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival gear? They’ve got it. New Minnie ears? There’s a bunch to choose from. Attraction-themed merch? Yup, they’ve got that too. But what about a scented plush based on a…tree? Yes — that exists, it’s adorable, and you have to see it for yourself.
There is so much that’s magical about Disney World. Meeting your favorite characters, riding exciting roller coasters, taking that first bite of a DOLE Whip…so many great things to experience. But what about the not-so-magical parts of the parks?
Unfortunately, you’ll need to plan for a few less-than-magical realities if you’re going to Disney World soon. The weather might not cooperate — it can be very hot one minute and then storming the next. Or maybe a restaurant is out of your favorite snack (in which case, we can recommend a few backup options). And you might encounter some ride and attraction closures during your next visit to the parks. To make sure you don’t get caught off guard, here’s a full list of what’s going to be CLOSED in Disney World next week. [Read more…]
Over the past few years, the airline industry has faced a lot of challenges.
Now, with summer travel picking up to pre-pandemic levels, airlines and airports are having problems keeping up. A pilot shortage, along with weather issues, and more, are causing multiple flight delays and cancellations. With Orlando International Airport being the busiest in the U.S., it’s seen its share of delays, including a HUGE amount this summer.
Here at DFB, we like trying new food; it’s right there in our name! But Disney World isn’t always ALL about the food, is it?
We also like riding the rides! Whether it’s a brand new ride like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, or a classic like Peter Pan’s Flight, we love a good Disney ride. If you’re looking for a shirt that encompasses your love of rides, we’ve got you covered!
How long would you wait for a popular ride in Disney World?
We’ve seen multi-hour waits often for rides like Flight of Passage in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in Magic Kingdom, and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT. But one ride in Disney’s Hollywood Studios today has surprised us the most because…wait for it…this ride had a FIVE-HOUR WAIT.
Hey, friends! We’re back with another DFB Video covering all the latest Disney news!
MagicBand+ is launching VERY soon, more entertainment returning, possible cruise policy updates and perfume ice cream?
