Hey there, DFB friends! What a week it has been with the Disney Genie.
October 19th was the debut of the Disney Genie service in Disney World and it’s been a bit of a whirlwind while we figure out all the bells and whistles of this new service. There was also some unexpected news and experiences around Disney World this week, so let’s get into it!

Since Halloween is about a week away, we headed over there to check out the Halloween goodies this year. We had to grab the Candy Corn Cupcake, Vampire Mickey Brownie, and the Pumpkin Macaroon, but we also spotted a classic Disney World treat at BoardWalk Bakery!

Spooky season has been happening in Disney World since early August, with Boo Bash After Hours events, a bunch of festive merchandise, and terrifyingly delicious treats. We’ve had more pumpkin than you can imagine, sweets inspired by classic horror monsters, drinks featuring all the fall flavors, and more. But, the fun isn’t over yet! Disney World’s upcoming Star Wars-themed hotel is going to be an immersive experience in a galaxy far, far away.
This hotel — called the Galactic Starcruiser — is basically a Star Wars lover’s dream come true. Guests can not only stay in the Star Wars-themed rooms, they can also dress up like their favorite characters, take part in an immersive storyline, dine on some strange-looking space food, and enjoy activities like lightsaber training or learning to steer the ship. Bookings aren’t open for most guests until October 28th, but starting today, some people can make reservations immediately.
