Recently, Disney has announced new lands, attractions, and entertainment headed to the theme parks, new ships coming to the Disney Cruise Line, and so much more. But, what about those projects that Disney hasn’t exactly announced yet?

Over at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, you’ll find one of our favorite lounges — Crew’s Cup Lounge. We’ve known it was coming for weeks now, but today is officially the day. As of today, February 23rd, this lounge is now temporarily closed for refurbishment.

Yes, because not only does it get chilly-ish on some days at Disney World, but I liked wearing pants even during the warmer months at Disney World to keep my legs out of the sun and just give me full coverage and support throughout the day. Heads up, Disney World fans, today’s the day that a whole section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom is temporarily closed, as of today.
Today, February 23rd, Disney has temporarily closed Rafiki’s Planet Watch as a whole to make way for a new Bluey experience coming for Cool KIDS’ SUMMER. What does that mean for you? Well, a park that’s missing about four of its attractions, and in a park that’s already riddled with construction, that’s not a great addition.
We’ve got BIG news for fans of Disney animation! A brand new area is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios: get ready to step into The Walt Disney Studios when it opens in the latter part of Summer 2026!
In July 2025, Disney announced that the area currently known as Animation Courtyard will be reimagined into The Walt Disney Studios as a “special nod to the legendary Walt Disney Studios Lot” in Burbank, California.
