We love a good underdog — and Disney World is full of them.
Well, Disney World is full of underrated restaurants at least! With so many dining options to choose from, we know it can be tough to make a choice. But, if you’re looking for a restaurant spearheaded by a celebrity chef with delicious food, killer drinks, and awesome dessert that DOESN’T require a park ticket — look no further than Frontera Cocina at Disney Springs! We decided to check this spot out to see if anything had changed since our last visit — so come with us to eat at Frontera Cocina!
Halloween is right around the corner!
Tickets for Oogie Boogie Bash sold out months in advance, but if you got your ticket, be prepared to try all the snacks and see lots of characters. If you’re celebrating the occasion during normal Disneyland operating hours instead, there’s still plenty to check out. And if you’re a Magic Key Holder, there are a few special Haunted Mansion PhotoPass lenses available just for you!
We’ve had a LOT of big news coming out of Disneyland this week!
Ticket prices — along with other prices — have gone up. We’ve got a date for when MagicBand+ is coming to Disneyland. We got a full list of food booths for the upcoming Festival of the Holidays at Disney California Adventure. But what else has been going on? Let’s take a look!
There’s so much to love about Disney resorts, right?
Staying at a Disney hotel gives you special perks like Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours, not to mention the theming can also be an extra dose of magic. However, Disney resort stays are EXPENSIVE and can rack up the cost of your vacation quickly. Resort hopping is a great way to visit each resort and see their offerings without paying to stay there, but how can you see all of them during your trip and still experience all you want to in the park? Here’s Your Ultimate One-Day Plan for Resort Hopping in Disney World.
The Halloween offerings are STILL coming in Disney World!
There are tons of Halloween offerings in Disney World right now — you’ve got Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, a Halloween scavenger hunt, and lots of snacks to try all around the parks and hotels. If you thought Disney was out of new treats now that we’ve only got a few more weeks until Halloween, surprise! We just tried a Spooktacular Grape Halloween Churro in Disney Springs and it was NOT what we were expecting.
Disney World is HAUNTED and you might have even seen some of the resident ghosts on property.
We’re not talking about the 999 happy haunts at the Haunted Mansion or even the glamorous stars at the Hollywood Tower (of Terror) Hotel. No, these ghosts are much less spooky and quite a bit more solid. We’re talking about the okapis in Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
One of the big benefits of a cruise is that it is generally an all-inclusive type of vacation. Your room, food, all kinds of entertainment, and more are typically included in one single cost — making planning and budgeting a whole lot easier.
But there are certain EXTRAS you can add to your cruise experience, like a spa date or special dining. On Disney Cruise Line, dining at the fancy, adults-only Palo restaurant (either for dinner or brunch, when offered) is an additional charge and reservations can fill up FAST. Is this a spot you should make a point to visit and pay extra for? Let’s find out!
Reopening restaurants, new merchandise, and price increases — a lot has changed recently at Disney World.
If you’re heading to the parks soon, you’ll want to check out some of the changes so that you’re prepared before your trip. You can click here to see some construction updates going on right now, or check out some restaurants you may not have realized are STILL closed. Right now, we have a list of all the temporary closures that you can expect to see at the parks and hotels this week (October 16th through the 22nd) — check out the full list here! [Read more…]
Disney World is expensive, but it’s not usually “$30 for a single drink” expensive. 😳
Even with all the price increases we’ve seen recently, you can generally get a cocktail for under $20. Recently, we stopped by one Disney World restaurant to try out some new drinks, and although most of them were pretty reasonably priced (at least by Disney standards), there was one stand-out that was both incredibly delicious and incredibly bad for our wallets. But it did come with a special perk! So come with us to find out if this High Roller cocktail is worth the cash or if you should stick to the other new drinks instead. [Read more…]
