Hey cool cats! And welcome to Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
We recently were bopping around the park, crying at Fantasmic! (just us?), when we had a hankering for a burger and shake. Lucky for us, we were able to snag a last-minute reservation at the Sci-Fi Dine-in Theater Restaurant! Guess we’re going back in time, you dig?
Hooray for Hollywood — and for today’s What’s New from Disney’s Hollywood Studios! We’ve got a small update from the park — but we’re starting with some big news!
The construction that’s been filling the Park’s entrance area is complete, and a brand new tram drop off and loading zone has been unveiled. [Read more…]

Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant
is one of those places at Walt Disney World’s Disney’s Hollywood Studios that you have to experience at least once.
I mean, dining in a convertible car watching kitchy old science fiction movie clips under a faux starlit sky is really a bespoke dining adventure.
But the food…hasn’t ever been the big draw here. And that’s okay — we’re in it for the fun atmosphere! But we do keep coming back to try to food because I’m looking forward to the day that I can say both the experience AND the food are fun at Sci-Fi.
A menu change resulted in some interesting meal options, so I was happy to drive (er, walk) in and give it another shot. But the contrast between these menu items (and an old standby) really couldn’t be more divergent.
Hollywood Studios
is one of our favorite places to be during the Holidays. Between the Flurry of Fun, Sunset Seasons Greetings, Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM show, decorations, and so many eats, and a new car entrance along with Skyliner progress there’s just so much to see and do here. Our visit this week including collecting everything that’s new in one super-post for you!
Find out about all the new “normal”/non-holiday eats, holiday eats, merchandise, decoration updates and so much more!
We’re back with What’s New at Disney’s Hollywood Studios this week, and it includes several menu changes, tons of cool merchandise, and a peek at current Toy Story Land and Skyliner construction (read more about the Disney World Skyliner here!)! Then, we’re skipping over to Art of Animation and Pop Century for a quick look at What’s New at the resorts! So put on your fancy pants, and let’s get our glamour on!

Don’t you love Disney’s Hollywood Studios? Where else can you go for a dose of Old Hollywood glamour, a Star Wars fix, and a Disney Junior fun all in one place?
But in addition to all kinds of movie- and television-inspired fun, the park hosts some great food as well. Today, we’re taking a closer look at our Favorite DHS Restaurants. See if you agree with us!
One of my favorite spots to dine at DHS — or in all of Walt Disney World really — is 50s Prime Time Cafe.
This spot has it all. It’s super-themed, so when you step into the front door one of two things will come to mind:
And truly, the themeing is so utterly awesome here, it’s enough to keep me coming back again and again. But then, the food! It’s just like your mom made! Or grandmother. Or Aunt Gladys. Whatever. My point is, it’s really good and comforting and, well, swell. You know? The bee’s knees. [Read more…]
Join us in welcoming guest author Jennifer Harris with an informative review of allergy friendly dining at Walt Disney World. Are you on a special diet? Read on!
Oh Disney, how I love your allergen-friendly ways. Dining at Disney is half the fun for those with food intolerance/allergy while visiting its theme parks. From the very first meal, it is apparent their talented team of chefs has got your back and then some. With table and quick service, buffet, and fine dining options, the attention paid to preparing allergen-free cuisine is exemplary. The sky is the limit at Disney because serving their guests is top priority.
Preparation tables are sanitized, gloves are changed, and one chef handles the order from start to finish to ensure there is no cross contact. Disney can currently prepare meals for those allergic/intolerant to: wheat, gluten, peanuts and tree nuts, soy, eggs, corn, dairy and lactose, shellfish, and fish.
