Halloween decorations are up, the first BOO Bash After Hours event was this past week, and Disney is getting all geared up for the 50th anniversary! The 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort is less than 50 days away, and Disney continues to share exciting details!
The 50th is almost here!
Each day they’ve been revealing another of the Fab 50 character statues that will decorate the four parks, and this morning they gave a sneak peek at the celebration’s anthem! Now, we’ve got a new look at the “Beacons of Magic” — the special decorations coming to the four park icons.
Everyday is a great day when you’re spending it in EPCOT! This park has gone through some major changes recently with all of that construction happening in Future World, and it even more has changed already since our last update from the park!

And with new offerings like Harmonious arriving this October along with Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Space 220 also in the works, it constantly seems like there’s something NEW happening in the park. The Most Magical Place on Earth celebrates HALF A CENTURY on October 1st and there are lots of ways to celebrate. There will be a new fireworks show and cavalcade in Magic Kingdom, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will finally open, a new daytime show is coming to Animal Kingdom, 9 more Food and Wine Festival booths are opening in EPCOT, and SO MUCH MORE! We’re especially looking forward to the new decorations on Cinderella Castle, including the lights that will turn all 4 park icons into “Beacons of Magic.” And now, we’ve got our FIRST GLIMPSE of the new lighting on Spaceship Earth!
