Disney World Announces 2 MORE Ride Closures

Is it just us, or is EVERYTHING under construction in Disney World? Okay, that’s a bit of an overstatement, but seriously, a lot is going on right now.

In EPCOT, Test Track is getting ready to reopen after an extended closure and retheming. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is getting an overhaul in Magic Kingdom, while Frontierland is getting a Cars expansion. PLUS, that park is getting a new Villains Land. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is in the progress of creating a new Monsters, Inc. land and converting Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster into a Muppets ride. In the meantime, Disney also just announced that two popular rides will soon be temporarily closing.

Disney just opened the GEO-82 Lounge, and while it’s all sleek lines and grown-up vibes on the inside, you’ll probably walk right past the entrance if you don’t know what you’re looking for. This is EPCOT’s first adults-only lounge, and Disney did not phone this one in. SNEAK PEEK: There’s a NEW Spot to Watch EPCOT Fireworks!

A NEW lounge is welcoming guests at EPCOT! The new GEO-82 is home to upscale eats and drinks during the day, plus a fireworks experience so you can have the ultimate vantage point of Luminous: The Symphony of Us on the World Showcase Lagoon.

While there is a special fireworks experience, you can still visit the lounge to see the view even without doing the pricey special experience. We got the chance to check out this adults-only (21 and up) bar during the fireworks, and we’re sharing what you need to know about the VIEW!
