Disney World is constantly changing!
Sometimes we see those changes coming and sometimes we don’t. Last month, a few things definitely caught us off guard. Here are the three most unexpected things that happened in Disney World in August!
It’s spooky season in Disney World and you know what that means — LOTS of Hocus Pocus fun!
We’ve already had a chance to see the Sanderson Sisters at Mickey’s Not-So-Very Scary Halloween Party. We even found a fun photo op celebrating the upcoming premiere of Hocus Pocus 2 on Disney+! PLUS we tried a Binx-themed snack that was SUPPOSED to be a Binx Pastry Tail but was actually a Binx Pastry PAW at the beginning of August. NOW, though, we have the Binx Pastry Tail snack!
A lot of new restaurants have opened at Disney World recently!
Here at DFB, we really like food (it IS in our name, after all), so we’ve eaten at all of the Disney World restaurants and tried almost all of the food Disney has to offer (you know, for science). With the opening of several new restaurants, we’re rounding up some of the most popular items at Disney World’s newest restaurants — take a look at what made the list!
Have you been able to keep up with all of the changes around Disney World?
So much has happened around the resort recently — buffets are returning, more character meet-and-greets are appearing, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique has reopened, and the Halloween season has arrived. But there’s still so much more to look forward to this year. So, to help you know what to expect during your next trip, here are 5 things that will be different in Disney World this September!
One of the best things about visiting Disney World is seeing the characters!
There are also so many opportunities to see them, too — they turn up in character cavalcades, in parades, and at character meet and greets. Some even roam around the parks so you can randomly bump into them. Now, characters are returning to the parks, and that includes some very popular character meet and greets in Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
Let’s face it — Disney World is expensive.
People can easily spend thousands and thousands of dollars on family vacations between just the hotels, tickets, and food alone. That’s not even taking into account things like airfare or stuff you might have to buy for your trip! So, we’re always on the lookout for ways that you can save money when you’re in the parks. One of the ways to do this is by being aware of ticket prices. They vary from day to day and from park to park, so you can save a lot by picking dates (or parks) that cost less than others. We’re going to break down the CHEAPEST days to visit Disney World in 2023!
It’s a holiday weekend and you know what that means — CROWDS in Disney World!
Or at least that’s what we thought. This year seems to be an exception to the rule: even the 4th of July weekend crowds were surprisingly lighter than what we expected. We have seen summer crowds in full force in Disney World, but things have been quiet recently, and, well, things are still pretty slow today. Let’s take a look!
Get ready — we’re about to get a song stuck in your head! *Ba-dee-ya, say, do you remember? Ba-dee-ya, dancin’ in September* Why are we singing, you ask? Well, we don’t ever really need a reason to sing Earth, Wind, & Fire, but we are right now because it’s finally September, y’all!
Can you even believe it?! We’re already into the 9th month of the year, which means fall festivities, Halloween celebrations, and everything pumpkin in Disney World. If you’re going to the parks this month, we’re here to tell you the BEST things to do in Disney World in September!
It’s pumpkin spice season!
Yes, yes, we know it’s still REALLY hot here in Florida. But pumpkin flavors are popping up everywhere — in our pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks, in our liqueur, and even in our bath and body products. But one of our favorite pumpkin spice things has also just returned to EPCOT!
It’s time yet again to see just how busy Disney World has been lately!
It’s sort of an odd time in Disney World right now in terms of the crowds. Summer is ending and kids are going back to school, so there are less people on vacation, but it’s also the Halloween season and there are a ton of things going on. So, crowds can be a bit unpredictable at the moment. One way we like to gauge how busy it is is by looking at wait times, so let’s take a look at ALL of the average wait times from around Disney World this week!
