When Disney World reopened, parades were suspended and replaced with character cavalcades.
And we’ve enjoyed quite a few of these cavalcades, but now that things are returning to “normal” at Disney World, lots of things seem to be changing…again. Parades will resume this holiday season (at least with the Very Merriest After Hours Party), and a character cavalcade has officially been suspended.
Greetings from Walt Disney World!
We like to keep up with what the crowds are looking like in the parks, so here’s a look at all the average wait times in Disney World from this week.
There have been SO many reopenings lately in Disney World!
Most recently, we’ve been to the reopening of Boma at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Pizzafari at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, ‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and more!
Feeling spooky? That makes sense! The Halloween season is in full swing in Disney World!
One of the biggest indicators of the Halloween season in Magic Kingdom this year is the new Disney After Hours BOO Bash event! This three-hour event is PRICY, but we had a pretty good time exploring. So, if you’re headed to BOO Bash we want to make sure you know EXACTLY how to maximize your time so you get your money’s worth!
The year-long Disney Ultimate Princess Celebration is ON at Disney World! And Princess Week officially kicks off tomorrow!
We are so ready to celebrate all our favorite princesses — from Belle to Jasmine to Ariel to Merida (please, Disney, release some Merida stuff!!!), it’s ALL about princesses at Disney World right now. They’re getting a ton of new merchandise, snacks, a playground, and more!
Recently we’ve seen some HUGE Disney news announced.
FastPass+, FASTPASS, and MaxPass will not return to Disney World or Disneyland. A NEW, FREE planning service called Disney Genie is coming soon will help you optimize your time in the parks. But, if you want to skip the standby lines in the parks, you’ll have to purchase one of Disney’s new PAID FastPass-like services — Genie+ or Individual Attraction Selection. It’s a LOT to take in, but the main thing to take away is that if you want to skip the standby lines, you’ll have to pay for it. We asked our readers whether they would do that. Here’s what they said.
Disney World’s more than just riding Space Mountain and eating copious amounts of Dole Whip. (Don’t tell us to *shush*. It’s TRUE.)
In fact, it’s SO true that we’ve created an ENTIRE LIST of all the things you probably didn’t realize you could do in Disney World. (And if you DID know these things, well…then you need to share them with your friends who are riding Space Mountain for the thousandth time in a row! Variety is the spice of life so vary it up!!)
If you’re like us, you’ve always dreamed of living in your own castle — we’ll have to blame Disney for our super-high standards.
Unfortunately Cinderella Castle is not for sale (insert sad sigh here), but there’s now a chance to channel your inner Disney princess by owning a castle nearby!
Aloha from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort!
The Polynesian Resort is home to a ton of delicious eats and treats, like the Pork Dumplings and Noodles at ‘Ohana and the famous Dole Whip served at Pineapple Lanai! Recently, the Barefoot Pool Bar, located right beside the main Volcano pool at the Polynesian, started serving food! With so many incredible options already available, is this little spot worth a visit?
